A. Information Needed by Council Staff

1.    Board Reappointments:  Anne Albaugh and Ralph Petty were appointed in July 17, 2007 to fill vacancies on the Police Civilian Review Board. Their terms expired on September 3, 2007.  The Administration is requesting that they both be reappointed for a term extending through September 3, 2010.  Would Council Members like to schedule a second interview prior to placing Ms. Albaugh and Mr. Petty’s reappointments on the agenda for consideration.  Council Members did not want to interview Ms. Albaugh or Mr. Petty.  They wanted their names placed on Unfinished Business.

2.    With regards to the USS Salt Lake City Submarine exhibit, Council Member Christensen would like to provide the following update:

We were able to find an alternative display cabinet that can be used here at the City & County Building or in other City buildings, such as the Police or Fire Departments for future displays or exhibits.

The Council originally agreed to support up to $10,000 for the purchase of a wood and glass display cabinet.  The total cost of the display case was $1,335, including the cost to arrange and display the artifacts.  After the artifacts are returned to the Ft. Douglas Museum, the display case will be made available to Administration.
