1. Property Conveyance:
Lease Agreement, 2148 South 900 East, there is a building which encroaches into
the public way by 4 inches with its brick façade. The encroachment has
existed over 30 years and was discovered during a survey prepared prior to
closing. It is the intent of the buyer to demolish the structure in the
Summer of 2006 – thus removing the encroachment. The issue was on the
Planning Commission consent agenda last Wednesday and received no comment.
Property Management received information today that the closing on the
purchase has been moved up, creating a new urgency to the process. Does the
Council wish to request that the Administration hold a hearing for this property
lease agreement? No public hearing.
