RESOLUTION NO. 5 OF 2016
AUTHORIZING A GRANT FROM
SALT LAKE CITY’S HOUSING TRUST FUND
TO THE ROAD HOME
WHEREAS, Salt Lake City Corporation (the City) has a Housing Trust Fund to encourage affordable and special needs housing development within the City; and
WHEREAS, The Road Home has applied to the City for a grant to provide housing and case management for twenty (20) individuals experiencing homelessness; and
WHEREAS, the Road Home will use such grant funds to provide twenty (20) of the top users of homeless services with housing and services for two (2) years.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
1. That the City Council hereby approves issuing a grant in the amount of $128,000 to The Road Home.
2. The Road Home will use the grant funds for providing gap financing to the House 20 homeless program to provide housing and case management for the top twenty (20) users of homeless services in Salt Lake City, Utah.
3. Jacqueline M. Biskupski, Mayor of Salt Lake City, Utah, following approval of the City Attorney, is hereby authorized to execute the requisite grant agreement documents on behalf of Salt Lake City Corporation and to act in accordance with their terms.
