RESOLUTION NO. 30 OF 2014
(2014 Water Conservation Plan)
A resolution adopting the 2014 Water Conservation Plan,
as required by Section 73-10-32 of the Utah Code.
WHEREAS, Section 73-10-32 of the Utah Code requires that water conservancy districts and retail water providers adopt a water conservation plans and update such plans no less frequently than every 5 years; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is being asked to accept public comment and consider adopting the 2014 Water Conservation Plan prepared by Salt Lake City’s Department of Public Utilities, to be filed with the Utah Division of Water Resources.; and
WHEREAS, the 2014 Water Conservation Plan has been prepared in accordance with the requirements of Section 73-10-32 of the Utah Code; and
WHEREAS, Salt Lake City supports the efforts to conserve water that have occurred and were outlined in previously adopted water conservation plans; and
WHEREAS, Salt Lake City is concerned about future effort for further water conservation and has determined that it would be in the best interest of the community to adopt the 2014 Water Conservation Plan.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of Salt Lake City that:
1. The City adopts the 2014 Water Conservation Plan (Attachment A hereto).
