RESOLUTION NO. 28 OF 2016
AUTHORIZING THE APPROVAL OF AN INTERLOCAL COOPERATION AGREEMENT BETWEEN SALT LAKE CITY CORPORATION AND UTAH TRANSIT AUTHORITY
(and other government entities)
WHEREAS, Utah Code Title 11, Chapter 13, Utah Code, as amended, allows public entities to enter into cooperative agreements to provide joint undertakings and services; and
WHEREAS, the attached agreement has been prepared to accomplish said purposes;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
1. It does hereby approve the Interlocal Cooperation Agreement between SALT LAKE CITY CORPORATION and Utah Transit Authority (“UTA”), West Valley City, the City of Taylorsville, the city of West Jordan, South Jordan City, Salt Lake County, Sandy City, the Utah Department of Transportation, and Wasatch Front Regional Council, to wit:
The parties will cooperate to procure a transportation study of the Redwood Road Corridor area from the northern boundary of Salt Lake City to 11400 South along Redwood Road. UTA will be the lead agency. The parties will contribute certain funds for the project by July 31, 2016 and Salt Lake City’s required contribution is $35,000.00.
2. Jacqueline M. Biskupski, Mayor of Salt Lake City, Utah or her designee is hereby authorized to execute said agreement on behalf of Salt Lake City Corporation, subject to any minor changes which do not materially affect the rights and obligations of the City thereunder.
