RESOLUTION NO. 1 OF 2020
Appointing Darin Masao Mano as a Member of the Salt Lake City Council
to Fill the Unexpired Term of the Vacated Office Representing District 5
WHEREAS, the Salt Lake City Council, on January 21, 2020, met in an open and public Council meeting for the purpose of interviewing candidates to fill the midterm vacancy on the City Council representing District 5; and
WHEREAS, after fully and appropriately considering and interviewing all interested candidates, the Council desires to appoint Darin Masao Mano as a member of the Salt Lake City Council representing District 5.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, that Darin Masao Mano is hereby appointed, pursuant to Utah Code section 20A-1-510, to fill the unexpired term of the office vacated by Erin Mendenhall in Council District 5, effective immediately. The City Recorder is authorized and directed to administer the oath of office immediately, and, after the oath is administered, Darin Masao Mano will fully participate as a member of the City Council.
