RESOLUTION NO. 17 OF 2018

 

Authorizing the approval of an interlocal cooperation agreement between Salt Lake City

Corporation and Salt Lake County with respect to the County’s transfer of up to $500,000.00 to the City for highway construction, reconstruction and maintenance projects.

 

          WHEREAS, Utah Code Title 11, Chapter 13 allows public entities to enter into cooperative agreements to provide joint undertakings and services; and

 

          WHEREAS, the attached agreement has been prepared to accomplish said purposes by effecting a transfer of up to five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000.00) from Salt Lake County (“County”) to Salt Lake City Corporation (“City”) with the understanding that the City will use such funds for highway construction, reconstruction, or maintenance projects.

 

          THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah as follows:

 

1.       It does hereby approve the execution and delivery of the following interlocal agreement providing funding to the City for the financing of highway construction, reconstruction and maintenance projects:

 

AN INTERLOCAL COOPERATION AGREEMENT BETWEEN SALT LAKE COUNTY AND SALT LAKE CITY CORPORATION (DA LOG NO. 17-10042)

 

2.       The effective date of the agreement shall be the date on which an executed copy of the Agreement has been filed with the keeper of records of each of the parties to the Agreement.

 

3.       Jacqueline M. Biskupski, Mayor of Salt Lake City, Utah or her designee is hereby authorized to approve, execute, and deliver said agreement on behalf of Salt Lake City Corporation, in substantially the same form as now before the City Council and attached hereto, subject to such minor changes that do not materially affect the rights and obligations of the City thereunder and as shall be approved by the Mayor, her execution thereof to constitute conclusive evidence of such approval.
