REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF SALT LAKE CITY

RESOLUTION NO. R-7-2017

State Street CRA

RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF SALT LAKE CITY AMENDING THE SURVEY AREA RESOLUTION FOR THE PROPOSED STATE STREET PROJECT AREA

WHEREAS, pursuant to Utah Code 17C-5-103, on April 12, 2016, the Board of Directors (“Board”) of the Redevelopment Agency of Salt Lake City (“RDA”) approved Resolution 768.05 (“Survey Area Resolution”), authorizing the preparation of a draft community reinvestment project area plan within an area that is generally from 400 South to 2100 South and from 300 East to 400 West, consisting of approximately 768 acres (the “State Street CRA”) to support the RDA Mission and General Goals as described in the Survey Area Resolution; and

WHEREAS, the Board seeks to amend the Survey Area Resolution to increase the proposed project area (“Increased Project Area”) in the State Street CRA and has not yet adopted a project area plan for the State Street CRA; and

WHEREAS, the Increased Project Area would support the Central Community Master Plan’s goals of creating: livable communities and neighborhoods; vital and sustainable commerce; unique and active places, and increased pedestrian mobility and accessibility.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF SALT LAKE CITY, that, in accordance with Utah Code Section 17C-5-103(1), the Board hereby amends the Survey Area Resolution to include the Increased Project Area, as shown on the map and geographic boundary attached hereto as Exhibit A.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that pursuant to Utah Code 17C-1-503, the Board recognizes that the Increased Project Area requires study to determine whether project area development is feasible within the proposed State Street CRA, and the Board authorizes the RDA to prepare a community reinvestment project area plan for the Increased Project Area, and conduct any examination, investigation, or negotiation regarding the Increased Project Area that the RDA considers appropriate.

Passed by the Board of Directors of the Redevelopment Agency of Salt Lake City, this 25th day of July, 2017.
