PLNAPP2012-00420 McMillion Appeal - An appeal by Shawn McMillion of a decision of the Director of the Department of Community and Economic Development (CED) rendered on June 1, 2012, to deny a request for a non-conforming use permit for a horse to be located at approximately 2307 South 600 East for medical reasons. The decision of the CED Director was based on the adopted Reasonable Accommodation Administrative Policy for the Salt Lake City Department of Community and Economic Development. This policy document was established to stipulate guidelines for making reasonable accommodations to Salt Lake City policies, practices and procedures for persons with disabilities when reasonable accommodation is necessary to comply with Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Federal Housing Act (FHA) and other related federal and state laws and regulations. The subject property is zoned R-1/7000 (Single-Family Residential District) and is located in City Council District 7 represented by Soren Simonsen.
