Go Rentals Determination of Nonconforming Use Modification at approximately 955 W Folsom Avenue – This is a determination by the Appeals Hearing Officer as to whether the existing nonconforming machine shop at the above listed property can change to an automobile rental agency. The machine shop began operations in 2008 and became a legal nonconforming use when the zoning at the above listed address changed in August 2010. The subject property is located in the TSA-UN-T (Transit Station Area Urban Neighborhood Transition) zoning district. The proposed use of an automobile rental agency is not permitted in the TSA-UN-T zoning district. The zoning ordinance allows one nonconforming use to change to another nonconforming use if the businesses are similar in nature as determined by the Appeals Hearing Officer.
