A request by Farley Eskelson for preliminary approval for a minor plat amendment to the Kensington Subdivision, Block 4, lots 2 through 11. ACTION TAKEN: The Hearing Officer approved the petition subject to the following conditions as listed in the staff report:
1. The final plat shall be recorded with the Salt Lake County Recorder.

Petition # PLNBOA2009-00128 Home Day Care – located at approximately 1306 West 1000 North. A request by JoLynn Gibson to operate a Home Day Care; under a Special Exception granting conditional home occupation approval. ACTION TAKEN: The Hearing Officer approved the petition.
Petition # PLNSUB2009-00039 Freckleton Subdivision – located approximately 1538 and 1542 West 800 South. A request by Norma Freckleton for approval for a lot split consistent with PLNBOA2009-00180. The subdivision will separate two legally constructed single family homes onto two lots. The property is located within City Council District 2 represented by Van Turner. ACTION TAKEN: The Hearing Officer approved the petition subject to the following conditions as listed in the staff report:
1. Approval is conditioned upon compliance with all departmental comments, with the exception of the removal of the greenhouse and moving the lot line, as outlined in this staff report. If during the building permit review process, additional requirements are stipulated by the Building Department, the applicant shall satisfy said requirements prior to the recording of any approved final plat.
2. Upon preliminary approval, the Petitioner shall submit final legal descriptions for the preparation of a notice of minor subdivision approval that will be recorded at the Salt Lake County recorder’s office...
3. Any future development activity associated with the properties will require that all substandard or absent public improvements be installed in accordance with the departmental comments noted in this staff report (Attachment A). Any future redevelopment shall be subject to the requirements of the Zoning Ordinance.
4. No subdivision shall have final approval, or shall said lots be sold, until the notice of minor subdivision approval has been recorded and deeds creating the lots have been recorded with the Salt Lake County Recorder.
Petition # PLNSUB2009-00044 Columbia Subdivision Amendment – located at approximately 57 East 1300 South. A request by the Free Wesleyan Church of Tonga, represented by Guilford A. Rand, for a subdivision amendment to combine two lots into one. Both lots have existing structures that will be combined into one single structure in one single lot. The property is located in the CC (Commercial Corridor) Zoning District.
