SALT LAKE CITY ORDINANCE
No. 7 of 2012
(Amending the Major Street Plan of the Salt Lake City Transportation Master Plan)
An ordinance amending the Major Street Plan of the Salt Lake City Transportation Master Plan, pursuant to Petition No. PLNPCM2010-00354.
WHEREAS, the Salt Lake City Planning Commission (“Planning Commission”) held a public hearing on September 8, 2010 to consider the application of Salt Lake City Mayor Ralph Becker (application no. PLNPCM2010-00354) to amend the Major Street Plan of the Salt Lake City Transportation Master Plan to update that plan to reflect planning actions and various other developments that have occurred since its last revision; and
WHEREAS, at its September 8, 2010 public hearing, the Planning Commission voted in favor of forwarding a positive recommendation to the Salt Lake City Council (“City Council”) on said application; and
WHEREAS, after a public hearing held by the City Council on this matter, the City Council has determined that adopting this ordinance is in the best interest of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. Amending the Salt Lake City Transportation Master Plan. That the Major Street Plan of the Salt Lake City Transportation Master Plan shall be and is amended to read and appear as shown in Exhibit “A” attached hereto.
SECTION 2. Effective Date. This ordinance shall become effective on the date of its first publication.
