No. 57 of 2018
(Amending the FY2019 Annual Compensation Plan for Non-Represented Employees of
Salt Lake City Corporation)
An ordinance amending the FY2019 Annual Compensation Plan for Non-Represented Employees of Salt Lake City Corporation.
WHEREAS, the City Council, in Salt Lake City Ordinance No. 33 of 2018, approved the FY2019 Annual Compensation Plan for Non-Represented Employees of Salt Lake City Corporation; and
WHEREAS, the Administration and the City Council desire to amend the FY2019 Annual Compensation Plan for Non-Represented Employees of Salt Lake City Corporation to: i) change the formula (from “shifts” to “hours”) pursuant to which Battalion Chiefs in the Operations Division of the Fire Department accrue vacation leave; ii) add sworn firefighters to the list of employees eligible to receive injury leave; iii) remove references to “Airport Police” to reflect that the Airport Police Department (which is currently part of the Department of Airports) will be converted into a bureau of the Police Department; iv) add the currently-vacant position of “Arts Council Executive Director” to Appendix B (Appointed Employees by Department) and establish the position’s grade as “032X”; and v) remove the position of “Appointed Senior City Attorney” from Appendix B (Appointed Employees by Department).
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. PURPOSE. The purpose of this ordinance is to amend the attached FY2019 Annual Compensation Plan for Non-Represented Employees of Salt Lake City Corporation. Three copies of the amended FY2019 Annual Compensation Plan for Non-Represented Employees of Salt Lake City Corporation shall be maintained in the City Recorder’s Office for public inspection.
SECTION 2. APPLICATION. The attached amended FY2019 Annual Compensation Plan for Non-Represented Employees of Salt Lake City Corporation shall not apply to non-represented employees of Salt Lake City Corporation whose employment terminated prior to the effective date of this ordinance.
SECTION 3. EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall be deemed effective on October 21, 2018.
