SALT LAKE CITY ORDINANCE
No. 53 of 2015
(Amending the zoning map pertaining to properties located at 664 South 900 West, 668 South 900 West, and 910 West 700 South Streets, to rezone said properties from RMF-35 (Moderate Density Multi-Family Residential) to CN (Neighborhood Commercial))
An ordinance amending the zoning map pertaining to properties located at 664 South 900 West, 668 South 900 West, and 910 West 700 South Streets, to rezone said properties from RMF-35 (Moderate Density Multi-Family Residential) to CN (Neighborhood Commercial) pursuant to Petition No. PLNPCM2014-00374.
WHEREAS, the Salt Lake City Planning Commission held a public hearing on March 11, 2015 on a petition initiated by the Salt Lake City Planning Commission (“Applicant”) to amend the city’s zoning map to re-zone properties located at 664 South 900 West, 680 South 900 West, 668 South 900 West, and 910 West 700 South Streets, to rezone said properties from RMF-35 (Moderate Density Multi-Family Residential) and CN (Neighborhood Commercial) to CB (Community Business) or a zoning district with similar characteristics pursuant to Petition No. PLNPCM2014-00374; and
WHEREAS, at its March 11, 2015 meeting, the planning commission voted in favor of forwarding a positive recommendation to the Salt Lake City Council on said application to rezone the 664 South, 668 South and 910 West parcels to CN (Neighborhood Commercial) and to leave the 680 South parcel zoned CN; and
WHEREAS, after a public hearing on this matter the city council has determined that adopting this ordinance is in the city’s best interests.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. Amending the Zoning Map. The Salt Lake City zoning map, as adopted by the Salt Lake City Code, relating to the fixing of boundaries and zoning districts, shall be and hereby is amended as follows:
a. That the property located at 664 South 900 West Street (Tax ID No. 15-11-202-011), and more particularly described on Exhibit “A” attached hereto, shall be and hereby is re-zoned from RMF-35 (Moderate Density Multi-Family Residential) to CN (Neighborhood Commercial); and
b. That the property located at 668 South 900 West Street (Tax ID No. 15-11-202-012), and more particularly described on Exhibit “B” attached hereto, shall be and hereby is re-zoned from RMF-35 (Moderate Density Multi-Family Residential) to CN (Neighborhood Commercial); and
c. That the property located at 910 West 700 South Street (Tax ID No. 15-11-202-014), and more particularly described on Exhibit “C” attached hereto, shall be and hereby is re-zoned from RMF-35 (Moderate Density Multi-Family Residential) to CN (Neighborhood Commercial).
SECTION 2. Effective Date. This ordinance shall become effective on the date of its first publication.
