SALT LAKE CITY ORDINANCE
No. 26 of 2010
(Amending the zoning map to adjust historic district boundaries)
An ordinance amending zoning map to eliminate the split-zoning of certain lots in or adjacent to historic overlay zoning districts, pursuant to Petition No. PLNPCM2009-00021.
WHEREAS, the Salt Lake City Planning Commission (“Planning Commission”) held a public hearing on December 9, 2009 on an application initiated by the Mayor and recommended by the City’s Historic Landmarks Commission to amend the Salt Lake City zoning map (Petition No. PLNPCM2009-00021) to eliminate the multiple zoning district designations of certain parcels (“split-zoning”) in or adjacent to historic overlay zoning districts; and
WHEREAS, at its December 9, 2009 meeting, the Planning Commission voted in favor of forwarding a positive recommendation to the Salt Lake City Council (“City Council”) on said application; and
WHEREAS, after a hearing before the City Council, the City Council has determined that the following ordinance is in the best interest of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. Amending zoning map. The Salt Lake City zoning map, as described in the Salt Lake City Code, relating to the fixing of boundaries and zoning districts, shall be and hereby is amended consistent with the delineations shown in Exhibit “A” attached hereto.
SECTION 2. Effective Date. This ordinance shall become effective on the date of its first publication.
