SALT LAKE CITY ORDINANCE

No. 88 of 1995

 

(Amending Certain Provisions of Title 21A Relating to Planning and Zoning)

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF TITLE 21A RELATING TO PLANNING AND ZONING.

WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 26 of 1995, the City Council adopted Title 2lA to the Salt Lake City Code as the City’s Zoning Ordinance; and

WHEREAS, the City intended to fine-tune the provisions of Title 21A after having experience with the actual implementation of Title 2lA; and

WHEREAS, Chapter 23, “Signs,” of Title 2lA was specifically adopted by Ordinance No. 26 as a temporary regulation; and

WHEREAS, Ordinance 73 of 1995 enacted Title 23, “Signs” of Title 2lA as a non-temporary regulation; and

WHEREAS, the City Council has held hearings before its own body and before the Planning Commission concerning the necessary fine-tunings to Title 2lA, including Chapter 23, “Signs”; and

WHEREAS, the Council believes that the adoption of the following amendments is in the best interests of the City and implements the City’s comprehensive plan; and

THEREFORE, the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah hereby adopts the following amendments to Title 21A:

Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:

SECTION 1. That Title 21A is hereby amended to read as specified in the attached Exhibit “A.”

 

NOTE: No Exhibit available.

 

SECTION 2. EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall take effect on the first publication of this enacting ordinance.
