SALT LAKE CITY ORDINANCE

No. 2 of 1995

 

(Adding a new section 12.56.525 to the Salt Lake City Code, relating to using streets for storage of motor homes, boats and trailers prohibited)

AN ORDINANCE ADDING A NEW SECTION 12.56.525, TO THE SALT LAKE CITY CODE, RELATING TO USING STREETS FOR STORAGE OF MOTOR HOMES, BOATS AND TRAILERS PROHIBITED.

Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:

SECTION 1. That Section 12.56.525, Salt Lake City Code, relating to Using streets for storage of motor homes, boats and trailers prohibited, be, and the same hereby is, added to read as follows:

12.56.525 Using streets for storage of motor homes, boats and trailers prohibited.

No person shall park a motor home, boat, trailer or other item upon any Street for a period of time longer than seventy-two hours. Motor homes, boats and trailers which are moved from a parking spot and then re-parked on the same street block face within twenty-four hours from the time of said removal shall be deemed to have been continuously parked for the purposes of this ordinance. “Block face” means the side of the street where the vehicle was parked between two intersecting streets.

SECTION 2. EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall become effective on the date of its first publication.

 

Passed by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, this 10th day of January, 1995.
