SALT LAKE CITY ORDINANCE
No. 12 of 1995
(Rezoning property located at approximately 10 Dorchester Drive Pursuant to Petition No. 400-93-42)
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 21.14.020 OF THE SALT LAKE CITY CODE RELATING TO ZONING AND FIXING OF BOUNDARIES OF USE DISTRICTS PURSUANT TO PETITION NO. 400-93-42.
WHEREAS, in response to rezoning petition No. 400-93-42, the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah has held public hearings before its own body and before the Planning Commission, and has taken into consideration citizen testimony, filing and demographic details of the area and the Master Plan as part of its deliberation. Pursuant to these deliberations, the Council has concluded that the proposed change of zoning for the property located at approximately 10 Dorchester Drive is appropriate for the development of the community in that area; and
THEREFORE, the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah hereby adopts the following amendments to the Use District provisions of Title 21.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City Utah:
SECTION 1. That the Use District Map, as adopted by Section 21.14.020 of the Salt Lake City Code, relating to the fixing of boundaries of Use Districts, be, and the same hereby is, AMENDED to read as follows:
Sec. 21.14.020. Boundaries of Districts--Use District Map Adopted.
That the following-described parcel of real property in Salt Lake City, Utah presently zoned Residential “R-5”/”F-1” and “R1”/”F-l” is hereby rezoned Residential “R-1A” with the Foothill overlay “F-1” and the Use District Map is amended accordingly:
DORCHESTER POINT REMAINING REZONE PARCEL
A portion of land located in the East half of Section 25, Township 1 North, Range 1 West, Salt Lake Base and Meridian being more particularly described as follows.
Beginning at a point being the southwest corner of Lot 8, Ensign Downs Plat “B”; A subdivision as recorded in the Salt Lake County’s Recorder’s office; said point also being due South 3579.621 feet and due west 2841.953 feet from the North quarter corner of Section 30, Township 1 North, Range 1. East, Salt Lake Base and Meridian and running South 75°25’44” West 440.882 feet to the westerly boundary of that certain parcel of land described in entry 4673609 in book 6062 page 2080 of the official records of Salt Lake County; thence along said westerly boundary the following 2 calls: 1)North 40°11’03” West 644.607 feet; 2)North 19°03’58” West 200.00 feet; thence North 71°06’59” East 563.866 feet to the westerly boundary of Capitol Hills Plat “C”, a subdivision as recorded in the Salt Lake County Recorder’s office; thence along said westerly boundary line South 20°25’33” East 156.961 feet to the westerly boundary of Capitol Hills Plat “B” a subdivision as recorded in the Salt Lake County Recorder’s office; thence along said boundary line South 24°25’06” East 372.371 feet to the westerly boundary of said Ensign Downs Plat “B” subdivision; thence along said westerly boundary South 3l°50’00” East 314.176 feet to the point of beginning. Contains an area of 9.54807 acres more or less.
SECTION 2. EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon the date of its first being published and shall be recorded with the Salt Lake County recorder.
