WHEREAS, the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, finds after public hearing that the City's interest in the public street described below is not necessary for use by the public as a street and that closure of said street will not be adverse to the general public's interest nor divest the City of title to the property without subsequent documents of transfer.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That a portion of 100 South Street near Redwood Road which is the subject of Petition No. 400-93-1 and which is more particularly described below, be, and the same hereby is, CLOSED and declared no longer to be needed or available for use as a public street, with the title remaining with the City until subsequent sale for market value:

WHEREAS, in response to the rezoning petition initiated by Zions Securities, No. 400-93-26, the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah has held public hearings before its own body and before the Planning Commission, and has taken into consideration citizen testimony, filing and demographic details of the area and the Master Plan as part of its deliberation. Pursuant to these deliberations, the Council has concluded that the proposed change of zoning for the property located at 158 North Main is appropriate for the development of the community in that area; and

SECTION 3. EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon the date of its being first published and recorded with the Salt Lake County Recorder. The City Recorder is instructed to not record or publish this ordinance until the Planning Division certifies that the amended plat is approved and recordable and that the conditions described in Section 2 have been complied with. The petitioners shall have one year to comply with the provisions of Section 2 and the approval of the plat. The Mayor may extend this period for an additional year. In the event that the conditions of this ordinance have not been met within one year or any extension thereof this ordinance shall be come null and void and the City Recorder is instructed to not publish it.

AN ORDINANCE CLOSING A PORTION OF HOLLYWOOD AVENUE, MAJOR STREET AND AN ALLEYWAY IN THE STATE STREET ADDITION SUBDIVISION, PURSUANT TO PETITION NO. 400-93-53.
WHEREAS, the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, finds after public hearing that the City's interest in the public streets and alley described below are not necessary for use by the public as streets and an alley and that closure of said streets and alley will not be adverse to the general public's interest nor divest the City of title to the property without subsequent documents of transfer.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That a portion of Hollywood Avenue, Major Street and an alleyway within the State Street Addition Subdivision, which is the subject of Petition No. 400-93-53 and which are more particularly described below, be, and the same hereby are, CLOSED and declared no longer to be needed or available for use as public streets and an alleyway, with the titles remaining with the City until subsequent sale for market value:

Pursuant to Petition No. 400-93-51)
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE AMENDMENT OF THE NORTH COVE ESTATES SUBDIVISIONS, PLATS "C", "D" AND "E", AS REQUIRED BY SECTION 10-9-808, UTAH CODE ANNOTATED, PURSUANT TO PETITION NO. 400-93-51.
WHEREAS, Petition No. 400-93-51 was filed with the City by Ensign Downs, Inc., requesting the City to allow the amendment of the North Cove Estates Subdivisions to modify the fire sprinkling requirements; and
WHEREAS, one hundred percent of the owners of the property within and adjacent to the subdivision have consented to the amendment; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has held a public hearing after giving the required notices and has reviewed the preliminary plat amendments which has been previously preliminarily approved by the Planning Commission on September 2, 1993; and
WHEREAS, good cause exists for the amendment of the plat and the City Council finds neither the public nor any person will be materially injured by the proposed amendments;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. The City hereby approves the modified proposed amendment to the North Cove Estates Subdivisions, Plats "C", "D" and "E", as conditionally approved by the Planning Commission on September 2, 1993. Specifically, the "Notice to Purchasers" provisions found in Paragraph No. 12 of Plat "C", Paragraph No. 13 of Plat "D" and Paragraph No. 10 of Plat "E" presently requiring automatic fire sprinkler protection is amended to read as follows:
Because of the travel distance and the change in elevation from the nearest fire station to this subdivision, travel time of fire apparatus responding to a structure fire may be increased under certain conditions, such as inclement weather. For this reason, the owner of each home built in this subdivision is encouraged, as a part of the initial home construction, to install an automatic sprinkler fire protection system.
No amended plat will be required to be filed with the City.
SECTION 2. EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon the date of its being first published and recorded with the Salt Lake County Recorder.

WHEREAS, in response to rezoning petition No. 400-93-58,
the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah has held public hearings before its own body and before the Planning Commission, and has taken into consideration citizen testimony, filing and demographic details of the area and the Master Plan as part of its deliberation. Pursuant to these deliberations, the Council has concluded that the proposed change of zoning for the property located at 116 South 1000 West is appropriate for the development of the community in that area; and
THEREFORE, the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah hereby adopts the following amendments to the Use District provisions of Title 21.
