Minutes of the Meeting Room 326, 451 South State Street
The Historic Landmark Commission attended a training conference in room 126 of the Salt Lake City and County Building. Audio recordings of the Historic Landmark Commission meetings are retained in the Planning Office for an indefinite period of time.
Present for the training conference were: Chairperson Sheleigh Harding, Thomas Brennan, Arla Funk, Charles Shepherd and Robert McClintic.
Planning Staff members present at the meeting were: Cheri Coffey, Assistant Planning Director; Joel Paterson, Planning Manager; Senior Planners, Lex Traughber and Carl Leith; Principal Planners Elizabeth Buehler, Daniel Echerrvia, Thomas Irvin, Michael Maloy, Ray Milliner, Maryann Pickering, Michaela Oktay; Urban Planner Molly Robinson and Michelle Moeller, Senior Secretary
The Historic Landmark Commission was presented a presentation regarding Defining your Preservation Design Philosophy. They viewed different case files depicting various types of construction and modifications in Historic District. The Commission and Staff discussed how to apply the design guidelines and standards to each case and the best practices for dealing with the various issues.
The training conference adjourned at 7:00 p.m.
