The City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, met in Regular Session on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at 9:17 p.m. in Room 315, City Council Chambers, City County Building, 451 South State.

Councilmember Luke presided at and conducted the meeting.
CONSENT AGENDA
9:17:47 PM Councilmember Love moved and Councilmember Christensen seconded to approve the Consent Agenda, which motion carried, all members present voted aye.
#1. RE: Setting the date of Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. to accept public comment and consider adopting an ordinance amending sections of the Salt Lake City Code regarding demolition of buildings for parking structures, (Sections 21A.30.020 and 21A.44.050) pursuant to Petition PLNPCM2012-00264. If adopted, the amendments would prohibit the demolition of buildings for surface parking lots or parking structures in the Central Business District (D-1). The amendments also would prohibit principal use surface parking lots or parking structures on block corners and Main Street. Parking development would be allowed in midblock areas when constructed behind a building or 75 feet behind the front property line. Related provisions of Title 21A (Zoning) may also be amended as part of this petition. (Petitioner City Councilmember Stan Penfold) View Attachments
