1. The Council will interview Megan Rogers and Barbara J. Riley, prior to consideration of their appointment to the Community Development & Capital Improvement Program Advisory Board. (Item F-4)
2. The Council will interview Deputy Director Jeffry Niermeyer prior to advice and consent of his appointment as Director of the Department of Public Utilities. (Item F-1)

The Council will receive a follow-up briefing regarding ordinances requesting the rezone of property located at approximately 750 North DeSoto Street from Foothills Protection (FP) to Foothills Residential (FR-2/21,780) and Natural Open Space (NOS), amending the Capitol Hill Community Plan Future Land Use Map and closing a portion of 700 North Street located generally between Columbus and Cortez Streets. The Council will receive a briefing regarding an ordinance amending the text of the zoning ordinance to modify the height regulations in the Light Manufacturing (M-1) Zoning District to allow emissions-free distillation column structures to exceed the 65 foot height limit. The Council will receive a briefing regarding an ordinance requested by the
Transportation Department Division, to close a portion of the
southern half of South Temple from approximately 750 West to 900 West.

The Council will receive a briefing regarding an ordinance to waive parking
meter fees for up to two-hours from Thanksgiving Day, November 22, 2007 through
Tuesday, January 1, 2008.

The Council will consider a motion to enter into Closed Session for the purpose of strategy to discuss the purchase, exchange, or lease of real property when public discussion of the transaction would disclose the appraisal or estimated value of the property under consideration or prevent the public body from completing the transaction on the best possible terms pursuant to Utah Code Ann.§ 52-4-204, 52-4-205(1)(d), and attorney-client matters that are privileged, pursuant to Utah Code Ann. § 78-24-8.

Consider adopting an ordinance amending Section 12.56.170, Salt Lake City Code, relating to parking meter rates - to waive fees at parking meters from November 22, 2007 through January 1, 2008 to allow for two-hour free parking.
