            B. Resolution of Appreciation: Resolution of appreciation to Richard Johnston and Bob Doidge for their work on the Sugarhouse Beautification Special Improvement District.

 

      C. Bid Award: Consider and adopt a resolution awarding the construction contract to Robert Williams Engineering for construction of improvements in Salt Lake City, Utah Concrete Replacement Special Improvement District No. 40-R-5.

C.          NEW COUNCIL BUSINESS

 

1.    Consider and adopt a resolution authorizing the Mayor to sign an interlocal agreement between Salt Lake City Corporation and Salt Lake County for installation and maintenance of gauging stations.

2.    Consider and approve the reappointment of Virginia Frobes-Wetzel to the Salt Lake Art Design Board.

3.    Consider and approve the Parks Recovery Action Plan.

 

4.    Consider and approve a resolution approving the transfer of $15,000 from the General Fund Contingency to the Mayor’s Office to pay for a one-time contribution to “Utahns Against Hunger”.

D.          CONSENT AGENDA

 

1.    Consider and approve the appointment of John Bonnet and the reappointment of Roger Boyer to the Public Utilities Advisory Board.

2.    Consider and adopt a resolution amending Resolution No. 32 of 1983 adopted by the Salt Lake City Council on April 28, 1983, to amend the Official Bid Form, the Official Notice of Bond Sale and the Preliminary Official Statement in certain respects, including, without limitation, changes relating to the discount rate and basis for award for the sale of the $25,500,000 Airport Revenue Bonds, Series 1983, of Salt Lake City, Utah, provisions relating to insurance for said Bonds, and related matters; amending the publication date of the Notice of Bond Sale; and related matters.

3.    Consider and adopt a resolution approving the form of a preliminary official statement and authorizing the mailing of letters of introduction and requests for proposals to potential purchasers in connection with the issuance of tax and revenue anticipation notes for 1983.

F.          PUBLIC HEARINGS

 

1.    6:30 - Consider and discuss Petition No. 232 of 1982 submitted by Monroc, Inc. The petitioner is requesting that the City vacate all remaining streets and alleys of Folsom Addition lying east of Beck Street.

2.    7:00 - Receive comment on the tentative budget of Salt Lake City for Fiscal Year 1983-84, including use of federal revenue sharing funds.

3.    7:30 - Consider and discuss an ordinance relating to local option sales and use taxes; providing for the levy and collection of sales and use taxes at a rate of seven-eights of one percent (7/8%).
