C. NEW COUNCIL BUSINESS
1. Consider and adopt an ordinance amending Section 49-6-55 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to payments required before water is turned on.

2. Consider and adopt an ordinance amending Chapter 4 of Title 49 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to City Creek Canyon by adding new Sections 49-4-13 and 49-4-14, closing City Creek Canyon to public vehicular traffic and setting the reservation fee for City Creek Canyon picnic facilities.

3. Consider and approve a resolution authorizing the execution of an inter- local cooperative agreement between Salt Lake City Corporation and the University of Utah for installation of lawn, landscaping, and a sprinkling system and maintenance thereof by the University of Utah around the City’s Fifth South water reservoir.

1. Consider and adopt an ordinance closing an alley running eastward from the intersection of Harvard Avenue and 200 East Street northward from Hampton Avenue, as requested by John Kuepper in Petition No. 149 of 1982.

2. Set a date for a public hearing on Tuesday, April 12, 1983 at 7:15 p.m. to discuss Petition No. 329 of 1983 submitted by Joey Montrone, et. al., requesting that the alley running north and south between Richards Street and West Temple and starting one lot north of 2100 South running to the lot south of Hart- well Avenue be vacated.

3. Set a date for a public hearing on Tuesday, April 12, 1983 at 7:45 p.m. to discuss the proposed modifications to Title 5 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, as amended, which are necessary to adopt the 1982 Edition of the Uniform Construction Codes.

4. Set a date for a public hearing on Tuesday, April 5, 1983, at 6:15 p.m. to discuss Industrial Revenue Bonds for Leads Northrup Co. in the amount of $2,750,000 for the purchase of 7 1/2 acres of land at 5425 West Amelia Earhart Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah and construction of a 40,000 square foot office and light manufacturing building, and consider authorization of resolution relating thereto.

5. Set a date for a public hearing on Tuesday, April 12, 1983, at 7:30 p.m. to discuss the proposed ordinance amending Subsection 10 of Section 47-3-1 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, that would require dedication of land for future parks and recreation facilities by subdividers.

6. Consider and approve a resolution creating Sugarhouse Beautification Special Improvement District, Project No. 38-708, and authorizing the City to proceed with advertising of the construction bids.

7. Consider and adopt an ordinance amending Chapter 5 of Title 51 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, by deleting Section 4 relating to height of fences and enacting Section 4A relating to grade change to be a new Section 4; amending Subsection 7 of Section 51-5-5 relating to side yard exceptions; amending Subsection 11 of Section 51-5-6 relating to rear yard exceptions; amending Subsection 1 of Section 51-5-7, relating to front yard exceptions; deleting Section 12 thereof relating to barbed wire fences prohibited; and adding new Sections 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, and 28 thereto relating to fence regulations.

1. Consider and adopt an ordinance vacating a 15-foot alley approximately 139 feet in length between 726 and 752 Goshen Street, as requested in Petition No. 330 of 1982 submitted by Mr. and Mrs. Abbott and Mr. and Mrs. Gudmundson.

1. 6:15 p.m. - Consider and discuss Petition No. 151 of 1982 submitted by Robert Peterson requesting that property in the vicinity of 3165 South 1300 East Street be annexed to Salt Lake City.

2. 6:30 p.m. - Consider and discuss an ordinance amending Chapter 17 of Title 20 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, as amended, by amending Sections 20-17-33, 20-17-34, 20-17-35, 20-17-36, 20-17-37, 20-17-38, and 20-17-39 and by adding thereto new Sections 20-17-40, 20-17-41, and 20-17-42, relating to solicitations, peddling, etc.
