1.     Report of the Executive Director, including review of Council information items and announcements.  (Estimated time:  5 minutes)

2.     The Council will interview Martha Susana Roseto prior to consideration of her reappointment to the Civilian Review Board.  (Estimated time:  5 minutes)

3.     The Council will receive a briefing regarding a proposed Interlocal Cooperation Agreement between Salt Lake City Corporation, Salt Lake County, and West Valley City for landfill tipping fees.   (Estimated time:  5 minutes) 

4.     The Council will receive a briefing regarding the status of the Steiner Ice Sheet.  (Estimated time:  5 minutes)

1. Ordinance:  (Animal Control)
Set date of July 6, 1999 at 6:00 p.m. to accept public comment and consider adopting an ordinance repealing Section 8.04.050, Salt Lake City Code, enacting Sections 8.04.065, 8.04.356, 8.04.510, and 8.04.520; amending Title 8, Chapter 4, relating to animal control; amending Title 8, Chapter 5, relating to regulation and control of vicious dogs; amending Title 8, Chapter 8 relating to keeping animals, livestock and poultry; and amending Title 8, Chapter 12, relating to estrays.

2. Board Appointment:  Kendalyn K. Harris, Community Development Advisory Committee (CDAC)
Consider approving the appointment of Kendalyn K. Harris to the Community Development Advisory Committee for a term extending through July 1, 2002.

3. Resolution:  Interlocal Cooperation Agreement   (Shoreline Trail Construction along Foothill Boulevard between Thunderbird Drive and the South End of Young Electric Company's Property)
Consider adopting a resolution authorizing the approval of an Interlocal Cooperation Agreement between Salt Lake City Corporation and Salt Lake County for construction services, Shoreline Trail construction along Foothill Boulevard, Thunderbird Drive to 1450 feet south of Thunderbird Drive, and related matters.

1. Resolution:  Interlocal Cooperation Agreement  (Landfill Tipping Fees)
Consider adopting a resolution authorizing the approval of an Interlocal Cooperation Agreement between Salt Lake City Corporation, Salt Lake County, and West Valley City for landfill tipping fees for the purpose of providing that West Valley City makes a long-term commitment to dispose of its residential waste at the Salt Lake Valley Solid Waste Management Facility, in exchange for payment of a reduced tipping fee for such waste, and related matters.

2. Ordinance:  (Special Lighting District L01)
Consider adopting an ordinance (The "1999 Assessment Ordinance") approving the assessment list, including newly added extension L01-61; levying an annual assessment upon property in Salt Lake City, Utah Lighting District No. 1, now known as L01 (The "District L01"); establishing the effective date of the 1999 assessment ordinance; and related matters.

Consider adopting an ordinance amending Section 2.23.030, Salt Lake City Code, relating to the creation of the Transportation Advisory Board.

5. Resolution:  City's Tax and Revenue Anticipation Notes, Series 1999
Consider adopting a resolution authorizing the issuance and confirming the sale of $16,000,000 Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, Utah, Tax and Revenue Anticipation Notes, Series 1999, and related matters.

6. Ordinance:  Final Budget Adoption
Consider adopting the final budget, excluding the budget for the Library Fund which is separately adopted, and the employment staffing document of Salt Lake City, Utah for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1999 and ending June 30, 2000.

Consider adopting an ordinance appropriating necessary funds to implement, for fiscal year 1999-2000, the provisions of the Memorandum of Understanding between Salt Lake City Corporation and Local 1004 of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) representing the "100 Series" City employees.

Consider adopting an ordinance appropriating necessary funds to implement, for fiscal year 1999-2000, the provisions of the Memorandum of Understanding between Salt Lake City Corporation and Local 1004 of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) representing the "200 Series" City employees.

Consider adopting an ordinance approving the Compensation Plan for "300 and 600 Series" employees of Salt Lake City.  (Employees covered by this plan shall be full-time, regular part-time and job sharing City employees classified as 600 Series and 300 Series, exempt and non-exempt professional employees.)

Consider adopting an ordinance appropriating necessary funds to implement, for fiscal year 1999-2000, the provisions of the Memorandum of Understanding between Salt Lake City Corporation and Local 1645 of the International Association of Firefighters representing the "400 Series" City employees.

Consider adopting an ordinance approving the Memorandum of Understanding between Salt Lake City Corporation and the Salt Lake Police Association, International Union of Police Associations, Local 75, AFL-CIO representing the "500 Series" City employees.

Consider adopting an ordinance approving the Compensation Plan for "700 Series" employees of Salt Lake City.  (Regular part-time employees who perform essentially the same duties of employees classified by the City as 100 and 200 Series employees and work twenty or more but less than forty hours a week.)

Consider adopting an ordinance approving the Compensation Plan for "800 Series" employees of Salt Lake City.  (Employees covered by this plan shall be full time sergeants, lieutenants and captains in the City's Police Department classified as 800 Series City employees.)

Consider adopting a resolution authorizing the Municipal Building Authority to proceed with the issuance of the Authority's Lease Revenue Bonds, the acquisition of certain projects, the refinancing of an equipment lease and the refunding of certain bonds; approving plans, costs and specifications for the projects financed with such bonds; and related matters.
