C.          NEW COUNCIL BUSINESS

 

1.    Consider and adopt an ordinance amending Section 25-1-2 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, as last amended by Bill No. 19 of 1984, relating to the adoption of an Employment Staffing Document.

2.    Consider and adopt a resolution authorizing execution of an interlocal cooperation agreement between Salt Lake City Corporation and Salt Lake County whereby the City’s Department of Public Utilities may use the laboratory analysis services of Salt Lake County.

3.    Consider and adopt an inducement resolution for Industrial Develop Revenue Bonds in the amount of $1 million for Hazel Investment Company for an office building and warehouse facility at 1657 South 700 West, and set a date for a public hearing to discuss same on Tuesday, July 10, 1984 at 8:00 p.m.

D.          CONSENT AGENDA

 

1.    Consider and adopt a resolution amending Resolution No. 57 of 1984 adopted on May 22, 1984. This amendment clarifies the interest rate calculation provisions of the Tax and Revenue Anticipation Notes, Series 1984, and allows for the use of facsimile signatures by certain city officials.

2.    Consider and adopt an ordinance amending Section 19-2-19(a) of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to location limitation of certain licenses, changing the designation of the official City map numbering.

3.    Consider and adopt a resolution authorizing the execution of an interlocal cooperation agreement between Salt Lake City Corporation and Salt Lake County wherein the County agrees to restore and repair the City’s Green and Walker Ditch Diversion Structures in Big Cottonwood Creek.

E.          UNFINISHED COUNCIL BUSINESS

 

1.    Consider and adopt a resolution amending budgets of Salt Lake City, Utah, for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1983 and ending June 30, 1984.

2.    Consider and approve a resolution adopting budgets for Salt Lake City for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1984 and ending June 30, 1985.

3.    Consider and adopt a resolution approving the Capital Improvement Program and approving the 4-mill property tax allocation for the eight-year Capital Improvement Program, and reserving said funds for such projects, without invasion or reallocation for other purposes or needs.

4.    Consider and adopt an ordinance amending Subsection (4) and adding a new Subsection (7) of Section 6 of Chapter 1 of Title 100 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to dog licensing fees.

5.    Consider and adopt the Fiscal Year 1984-85 budget for the Salt Lake City Public Library.

6.    Consider and adopt an ordinance amending Sections 49-6-51 and 49-6-52 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to water meter rates and minimum charge of culinary water.

7.    Consider and adopt a resolution determining the rate of tax levy and levying taxes upon all real and personal property within Salt Lake City, made taxable by law for 1984.

8.    Consider and adopt Legislative Intents relating to the Fiscal Year 1984-85 budget.

F.          PUBLIC HEARINGS

 

1.    6:00 p.m. - Obtain public comment concerning an ordinance amending Section 27-9-1 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, as amended, relating to green fees, and adopt the ordinance related thereto.

2.    6:15 p.m. - Obtain public comment concerning the inducement resolution for Big “V” Associates for Industrial Development Revenue Bonds in the amount of $5 million for the construction of a 41,000 square foot office building at 455 East 500 South. Said inducement resolution was previously approved under the name of Hermes Associates in the amount of $9.5 million for construction of an office building at 100 South 500 East.

3.    6:30 p.m. - Consider and approve the proposed rezoning of property at Cornell Street and Third North from its present “R-2A” to a “R-7” classification for the purpose of constructing the State Health Services Building, as requested by Petition No. 400-187 submitted by the Utah State Department of Administrative Services in Petition No. 400-187.

4.    6:30 p.m. - Consider and approve the vacation of portions of Simondi Avenue, Cornell Street (formerly Custer Street), Garside Street (formerly Division Street), and a certain public alley adjacent thereto, located in the vicinity of 300 North and 1550 West in Salt Lake City, as requested in Petition No. 400-187, submitted by the Utah State Department of Administrative Services.

5.    6:45 p.m. - Consider and adopt an ordinance amending Section 25-1-1 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, as last amended by Bill No. 39 of 1983, relating to compensation of city officers and employees, including changes in some statutory officers’ salaries and classifications.
