C.          NEW COUNCIL BUSINESS

 

1.    Consider and adopt an ordinance amending Article 5 of the Traffic Code of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, by amending Section 95 relating to concealing identity or facts.

2.    Consider and adopt an ordinance amending Title 32 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, by adding a new Chapter 10 relating to Public Offenses.

3.    Consider and adopt an ordinance amending Section 20-32-2 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to storage areas used by independent wrecker services.

4.    Consider and approve a resolution authorizing the execution of an interlocal cooperation agreement between Salt Lake City Corporation and Salt Lake County enabling both the City and the County to obtain a joint study of City and County telephone system needs.

5.    Consider and adopt an ordinance amending Title 15 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, as amended, relating to fire prevention codes, by repealing said Title 15 as it adopts by incorporation by reference the Salt Lake City Life/Fire Safety Code, 1977 Edition, and by reenacting by incorporation in lieu thereof, The Uniform Fire Code, 1982 Edition with amendments and exceptions thereto.

6.    Consider and adopt an ordinance amending Sections 46-6-105 and 46-6-106 and deleting Sections 46-6-104 and 46-6-110 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to “driving under the influence” charges.

7.    Consider and adopt an ordinance amending Chapter 7 of Title 5 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, by adding a new Section 15 thereto relating to masonry.

8.    Consider and adopt an ordinance changing the name of “Sir Phillip Drive” between 1305 North 2000 West and 1355 North 1995 West in Salt Lake City, Utah, to hereinafter be known as “Sir Philip Drive” upon the official street map of Salt Lake City by amending Section 41-6-1 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965.

9.    Consider and adopt an ordinance changing the name of “Major Avenue” as it lies at 1400 North between Miami Road and Morton Drive in Salt Lake City, Utah, to hereinafter be known as “Springfield Road” upon the official street map of Salt Lake City by amending Section 41-6-1 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965.

D.          CONSENT AGENDA

 

1.    Set a date for a public hearing on Tuesday, August 9, 1983 at 6:15 p.m. to discuss Petition No. 400-20 submitted by Norris W. Goold and J. Leland Behunin requesting the vacation of an alley which runs north and south between Columbus Street and Victory Road.

2.    Set a date for a public hearing on Tuesday, August 9, 1983 at 6:30 p.m. to discuss Petition No. 400-35 submitted by Mr. Robert W. Koyen requesting the vacation of a 20-foot wide alley which runs east and west between Victoria Way and Topaz Drive for a distance of 140 feet, parallel to 10th North and 9th North in Salt Lake City.

3.    Consider and adopt an ordinance vacating an alley located within the South Salt Lake Subdivision, as requested by Joey Montrone in Petition No. 329 of 1982. Said alley is 25 feet wide and runs north between Richards Street and West Temple commencing one lot north of 2100 South Street for 550 feet to one lot south of Hartwell Avenue.
