B.          OPENING CEREMONIES

3.    Approval of minutes.

 

4.    American Water Works Association landmark designation for Mountain Dell Dam, award presented by officers of the Intermountain Section of the American Water Works Association.

 

E.          UNFINISHED COUNCIL BUSINESS

 

1.    Consider and adopt inducement resolution for the Industrial Revenue Bond application for Mime Truck Lines, Inc. for $1,725,000 for purchase of new equipment.

 

F.          PUBLIC HEARINGS

 

1.    6:00 p.m. - Public hearing to discuss the need for an Urban Development Action Grant (UDAG) for the Sugarhouse Redevelopment project.

 

2.    6:30 p.m. - Public hearing to consider a recommendation by the Historical Landmark Committee and Planning Commission to have the following buildings designated to the City Register of Cultural Resources as landmark sites: Carl M. Neuhausen House, 1265 East 100 South and Neils C. Christensen House, 375 North Quince Street.

 

3.    6:45 p.m. - Public hearing to consider Petition 602 of 1981 submitted by Sylvia and Alexander M. Henricks III requesting that an alley between Ramona and Hollywood Avenues and between 14th and 15th East Streets be vacated.

 

4.    7:00 p.m. - Public hearing to consider Petition 319 of 1981 submitted by the Foothill-Sunnyside Neighborhood Council requesting specified improvements on Foothill Drive from 21st East to Sunnyside Avenue and to consider the request to close that portion of Foothill Drive between 9th South Street and Hubbard Avenue.

 

5.    8:00 p.m. - Public hearing to consider the creation of a Central Parking and Business Improvement District to provide free off-street parking for the benefit of the District; or, the general promotion of business activities within the District. Also to consider an ordinance amending Title 20, Chapter 3 of the Revised Ordinance of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to business revenue license by adding a new Section 15.

 

6.    9:00 p.m. - Public hearing to consider Petition 186 of 1981 submitted by the Union Pacific Railroad concerning the request for the granting of a franchise by Salt Lake City Corporation to said railroad for the purpose of constructing new trackage in the area of South Temple and 600 and 700 West to facilitate train movement in the train yard area.

a. Mr. Howard Marsh to address the Council to consider Petition 626 of 1981, requesting the closure of Learned Avenue and Deseret Avenue.
