1. Report of the Executive Director, including review of Council information items and announcements. (Estimated time: 5 minutes)
2. The Council will receive a legislative briefing from the Administration. (Estimated time: 10 minutes)
3. The Council will receive a briefing regarding the 2001-2002 report of the Citizens Compensation Advisory Committee (CCAC). (Estimated time: 5 minutes)
4. The Council will receive a briefing regarding two proposed ordinances: one granting to Metricom, Inc. a data transmission and communication services franchise, and another enacting a new section of the Salt Lake City Code requiring a payment in lieu of a franchise fee by resellers of telephone, telecommunication, data transmission and other similar services. (Estimated time: 5 minutes)
5. The Council will receive a briefing regarding PricewaterhouseCoopers’ audit of the City’s Financial Statements and Management Letter issued to the City for the year ended June 30, 2000. (Estimated time: 10 minutes)
6. The Council will consider adopting a motion to enter into Executive Session, in keeping with Utah Code, to discuss labor negotiations. (Estimated time: 5 minutes)
7. The Council will receive a briefing regarding a proposed ordinance amending sections of the Salt Lake City Code pertaining to traffic code. (Estimated time: 5 minutes)
8. The Council will receive a briefing regarding Budget Amendment Number Six for Fiscal Year 2000-2001. (Estimated time: 5 minutes)
9. The Council will receive a briefing regarding Municipal Building Authority Budget Amendment Number One for Fiscal Year 2000-2001. (Estimated time: 5 minutes)
10. The Council will receive a briefing on the status of the Intermodal Hub. (Estimated time: 15 minutes)
11. The Council will receive a briefing regarding the Council's Labor Policy and Proposed Labor Protocol Agreement with Administration. (Estimated time: 5 minutes)

OPENING CEREMONY:

Consider adopting a joint ceremonial resolution expressing the Mayor and
Council’s opposition to the placement of a high-level nuclear waste storage
facility in the State of Utah, and the transportation of waste through Salt Lake
City.

1. Ordinance: Petition Number 400-00-34
from Pacific Commercial Properties and Petition Number 400-00-39 from Valley
Mental Health requesting a Zoning Ordinance text amendment to allow additional
building height as a conditional use in the Commercial Corridor CC and General
Commercial CG zones
Accept public comment and consider adopting an
ordinance amending Chapter 21A.26 of the Salt Lake City Zoning Code
regarding the maximum height of buildings in the Commercial Corridor (CC) and
General Commercial (CG) districts.

the annexation of approximately 47.85 acres of property located at approximately

public comment and consider adopting an ordinance extending the corporate limits
of Salt Lake City to include property located at approximately 2982 Benchmark
Drive, amending the East Bench Master Plan, and amending the Salt Lake City
zoning map to zone the area upon its annexation to the City.
