C.          NEW COUNCIL BUSINESS

 

1.    Consider and adopt an amendment to Section 46-114-4 of the Salt Lake City Traffic Code relating to no-fault insurance required to operate a motor vehicle anywhere within the corporate limits of Salt Lake City.

2.    Consider and adopt an amendment to Chapter 2 of Title 38 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to repairs and replacement of sidewalks and curb and gutters.

3.    Consider and approve a resolution declaring the intention of the City Council of Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, State of Utah, to construct improvements on certain streets within said municipality consisting of the removal and reconstruction of deteriorated curb and gutter, sidewalk and driveways; removal of illegal driveways and setback parking; installation of wheelchair ramps, where needed, and all other miscellaneous work necessary to complete the improvements in a proper workmanlike manner, including placement of topsoil and sodding where required; to create Salt Lake City, Utah Concrete Replacement Special Improvement District No. 40-R-5; to defray the cost and expenses of said improvement district by special assessments to be levied against the property benefited by such improvements; and to provide notice of intention to authorize such improvements and to fix a time and place for protests against such improvements or the creation of said district.

E.          UNFINISHED COUNCIL BUSINESS

 

1.    Consider and adopt an ordinance extending the limits of Salt Lake City to include the “Northwest Quadrant Annex #2”; zoning the same Industrial “M-1A” and Agricultural “A-1” by amending the use district map as adopted by Section 51-12-2 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965; and amending the Salt Lake City Council District and School Precinct Boundaries map; and specifying conditions of said annexation.

2.    Consider and approve a resolution to create Salt Lake City, Utah Curb and Gutter Extension No. 38-681 and to authorize construction of improvements as set forth in the notice of intention which is amended by deleting certain areas and improvements and to create the curb and gutter extension and to proceed with the advertising of construction bids, for work to be done on 13th South/200 East to 400 West.

3.    Consider and approve Petition 400-6 submitted by Beehive Lodge No. 407 requesting that property located at 659 North 300 West be rezoned from its present “C-1” classification to a “C-3” classification.

4.    Consider and discuss Petition No. 152 of 1982 submitted by Community Organization Operations Program, Inc. requesting that property located at 131 North 900 West be rezoned from Residential “R-6” to a Commercial “C-1” classification.

5.    Consider and adopt an inducement resolution for an Industrial Revenue Bond for Commercial Security Bank in the amount of $4,000,000 for the purchase of land and construction and equipping of a building to house the centralized operations of C.S.B. and its subsidiaries at approximately 1920 West North Temple.

6.    Consider and adopt an ordinance amending Section 20-3-12 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to review of license fees imposed by the City.
