A.       BRIEFING SESSION:

        1.       Report of Executive Director.

        2.       The Council will interview Tony R. Brazelton prior to consideration of his appointment to the Salt Lake City Arts Council.

B.       OPENING CEREMONIES:

        1.       Pledge of Allegiance.

        2.       Approval of April 11, 1995 minutes.

        3.       Consider adopting a joint Resolution with the Mayor regarding March for Parks Day.

        4.       Council Chair Reid and Mayor Corradini will present plaques to the Good Neighbor Award recipients.

C.       COMMENTS:

        1.       Questions to the Mayor from the Council.

D.       CONSENT:

        1.       Board Appointment:  Tony R. Brazelton, Salt Lake City Arts Council

                Consider approving the appointment of Tony R. Brazelton to the Salt Lake City Arts Council for a term extending through July 1, 1997.  (I 95-10)

                        Staff Recommendation:       Approve.

        2.       Resolution:  Special Improvement District No. 40-R-19

                        a.  Consider adopting a resolution adding thirty properties to Special Improvement District No. 40-R-19 by amending and supplementing the resolution which created that District, Resolution No. 53 of 1993, adopted May 18, 1993.

                        b.  Consider adopting an ordinance confirming the assessment rolls and levying an assessment against benefitted properties in Special Improvement District No. 40-R-19, for improvements constructed within the District.  (Q 93-6)

                        Staff Recommendation:       Adopt.

E.       NEW BUSINESS:

        1.       Legislative Action:  Councilmember Alan Hardman  (Xeriscaping)

                Consider adopting an ordinance establishing standards for front yard and parking strip use of xeriscape concepts.

                        Staff Recommendation:       Refer to Administration for review and drafting.  Request response by July 1, 1995.

        2.       Resolution:  Interlocal Cooperation Agreement  (Utah Division of Parks and Recreation)

                Consider adopting a resolution authorizing the approval of an Interlocal Cooperation Agreement between Salt Lake City Corporation and the Utah Division of Parks and Recreation for development and management of a parkway in the Jordan River Corridor.

        1.       Ordinance:  Budget Amendment #6

                Accept public comment and consider adopting an ordinance to amend the Fiscal Year 1994-95 Budget.

        2.       Ordinance  (Housing Code)

                Accept public comment and consider adopting an ordinance relating to existing residential housing and dangerous buildings.

                        Staff Recommendation:       Accept comment; continue to public hearing on May 16, 1995.
