A. Information Needed by Council Staff
1. Attached is the tentative schedule of 2010 Council Meeting dates.
Does the Council approve the scheduled dates? Councilmember Garrott had concerns about the March 23 and June 15 & 22. Councilmember Christensen said staff could look at moving March 23 to March 30th. Councilmember Simonsen said there were a couple of tentative meetings scheduled for Thursdays. He said that could potentially create problems for him and would prefer Tuesday meetings. Councilmember Christensen said they would look at those dates but did not think they would be needed.
2. Tentatively the
Governmental Relations/School Board subcommittee is scheduled to meet with
school board members on Friday, December 4, 8:30 am, meeting hosted by the
School District. Dr. McKell Withers is in the process of confirming the
date/time with the school board members.
Council Members have communicated
the following agenda topics at this point in time:
School Redistricting
Legislative Priorities; and
CDA discussion/School District partnership (expressing thanks)
Are there other agenda items that Council Members wish to include for this meeting? Councilmember Christensen said if Council Members had suggestions to let staff know before the 4th. He said sooner would be better so a courtesy copy could be given to the board.
