City Council Announcements

1. Cindy Gust-Jenson said Councilmember Jergensen had arranged for a tour of the Capitol, tomorrow, May 19, at 3:30 p.m. Councilmember Jergensen said they would meet at the East Building. Ms. Gust-Jenson asked about the age of children. It was decided children would need to be 12 years of age.
2. Ms. Gust-Jenson said the Council had said they would reserve all of the Tuesdays and Thursdays in May and June for additional budget discussions. She said it was looking like they needed to use May 25th and June 1st along with May 23rd and May 30th.
3. Ms. Gust-Jenson said the Chamber of Commerce ombudsman position that the Council had been briefed on and discussed, the Chamber wanted to get moving on that. She said they wanted some feedback on whether the Council was anticipating approving your portion of that. She said if the Council was then they wanted to move ahead now and start paying themselves. Council Members were in favor of supporting this with one time money. Councilmember Buhler said they would have to revisit this issue.
