A. Decisions, Feedback & Information needed by staff
1. Property Conveyance: The Airport Board has declared a parcel of land surplus and wish to sell it to West Jordan City. It is adjacent to Airport II and West Jordan’s water detention facility. West Jordan retained an easement over a portion of the property, but are now modifying the facility and would like to purchase the property. Compensation is $19,000 after adjustments were made for the easement. Do Council Members wish to hold a hearing? No
2. Council staff has enclosed a memorandum by City Council Members Jill Love and Nancy Saxton regarding a proposed Legislative Action item pertaining to brew pubs in Salt Lake City. Council Members were in favor of a briefing.
3. In January, the City Council directed staff to prepare a letter to the Wasatch Front Regional Council to comment on that organization's update of its long-range transportation plan to the year 2030. The Regional Council will take comment until at least May. Council staff has attached a draft letter for City Council review. Council Members wanted the letter to get to the point quicker. Council Members wanted the letter to be specific about transportation aspects the Council agreed on and give general information other transportation aspects. Councilmember Jergensen said he did not see the words “the following issues are priorities for Salt Lake City Council” He said we need to articulate the priorities as quickly and clearly as possible.
