1. Property conveyances: Does the Council request Briefings?
a. A Quit Claim Deed to Union Pacific for the parcel 1.765 acre, approximately 5800 West and 900 South. Compensation tendered is $4850.00. The parcel is jointly owned by the County and City for landfill but is not usable because it is between two sections of rail track. This is preparatory to realignment of rails for the Freight Intermodal Hub.
b. A right-of-way and easement for Kern River to construct and install a gas transmission pipeline. The parcel is west of 5600 West and north of 1300 South. This is in preparation for the Freight Intermodal Hub. Compensation tendered is $2425.00.
Linda Cordova briefed the Council regarding two property conveyances; 1) Quit Claim Deed to Union Pacific at 5800 West and 900 South and 2) Right-Of-way and easement for Kern River at 5600 South and north of 1300 South. All Council Members were in favor of not holding public hearings for the properties.
