SALT LAKE CITY ORDINANCE
No. 65 of 2001
(Enacting the Rose Park Small Area Plan)
AN ORDINANCE ENACTING THE ROSE PARK SMALL AREA PLAN, PURSUANT TO PETITION NO. 400-00-16 AND PURSUANT TO SECTION 10-9-303, UTAH CODE ANN.
WHEREAS, the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, has held public hearings before its own body and before the Planning Commission as required by section 10-9-303, Utah Code Ann.; and
WHEREAS, the City had previously adopted the 1990 Northwest Community Plan; and
WHEREAS, due to anticipated developments in this area, the City Council finds that it is appropriate under section 10-9-301, et seq., Utah Code Ann., and in the best interest of the City, to enact a new small area plan for the Rose Park Community;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That the Rose Park Small Area Plan, recommended for adoption by the Salt Lake City Planning Commission on May 3, 2001, shall be and hereby is enacted, pursuant to section 10-9-303, Utah Code Ann., for the area generally bounded by 600 North on the south, the northern City limits on the north, Interstate 15 on the east, and Interstate 215 on the west. The City Recorder is hereby directed to retain three certified copies of the Rose Park Small Area Plan, as it pertains to this geographic area, for the public records.
SECTION 2. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its first publication and shall be recorded with the Salt Lake County Recorder.
