SALT LAKE CITY ORDINANCE
No. 30 of 2000.
(Extending Deadline to Satisfy Conditions for Rezoning
of Property Located at 1071 South West Temple Street)
AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE DEADLINE FOR SATISFYING THE CONDITIONS FOR THE REZONING OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1071 SOUTH WEST TEMPLE STREET FROM COMMERCIAL CORRIDOR (CC) TO RESIDENTIAL MIXED USE (RMU).
WHEREAS, on June 8, 1999, the Salt Lake City Council enacted Ordinance No. 59 of 1999 rezoning property located at 1071 South West Temple Street from Commercial Corridor (CC) to Residential Mixed Use (RMU); and
WHEREAS, the effectiveness of Ordinance No. 59 of 1999 was conditioned upon the satisfaction of certain enumerated conditions set forth in the ordinance, which were required to be satisfied within one year from the passage of the ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the City Council now finds that good cause exists and that it is in the best interest of the City to extend the deadline for satisfying those conditions;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 5 of Ordinance No. 59 of 1999, rezoning property located at 1071 South West Temple Street from Commercial Corridor (CC) to Residential Mixed Use (RMU), shall be and hereby is amended to provide a one year extension for satisfying the conditions identified in that ordinance, such that the deadline for satisfying the conditions identified in that ordinance shall be and hereby is extended until June 8, 2001.
SECTION 2. If the conditions identified in Ordinance No. 59 of 1999 have not been satisfied by June 8, 2001, the City Recorder is instructed not to record or publish the ordinance, which shall become null, void and have no effect. For good cause shown, the City Council may, by resolution extend the time period for satisfying the conditions identified therein.
