SALT LAKE CITY ORDINANCE

No. 92 of 1999

 

(Enacting the Capitol Hill Community Master Plan)

 

AN ORDINANCE ENACTING THE CAPITOL HILL COMMUNITY MASTER PLAN, PURSUANT TO PETITION NO. 400-98-18 AND PURSUANT TO SECTION 10-9-303, UTAH CODE ANN.

 

WHEREAS, the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, has held public hearings before its own body and before the Planning Commission as required by section 10-9- 303, Utah Code Ann. and

WHEREAS, the City had previously adopted the 1981 Capitol Hill Community Master Plan and the 1984 Guadalupe Target Area Plan; and

WHEREAS, due to recent developments in these areas, the City Council finds that it is appropriate under section 10-9-301, Utah Code Ann., and in the best interest of the City, to enact a new single master plan for the Capitol Hill Community;

NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:

SECTION 1. That the Capitol Hill Community Master Plan recommended for adoption by the Salt Lake City Planning Commission on September 9, 1999, shall be and hereby is enacted, pursuant to section 10-9-303, Utah Code Ann., for the area generally bounded by North Temple on the south, the northern city limits on the north, Interstate 15 on the west, and Canyon Road on the east. The City Recorder is hereby directed to retain three certified copies of the Capitol Hill Community Master Plan, as it pertains to this geographic area, for the public records.

SECTION 2. Effective Date. This ordinance takes effect immediately upon first publication and shall be recorded with the Salt Lake County Recorder.
