SALT LAKE CITY ORDINANCE

No. 27 of 1999

 

(Adding the property at 720 East Ashton Avenue as a landmark site to the City’s Register of Cultural Resources.)

      AN ORDINANCE ADDING THE PROPERTY AT 720 EAST ASHTON AVENUE AS A LANDMARK SITE TO THE SALT LAKE CITY REGISTER OF CULTURAL RESOURCES, PURSUANT TO PETITION NO. 400-98-78 AND SECTION 21A.34.020 C.1 OF THE SALT LAKE CITY CODE.

      WHEREAS, Chapter 21A.34.020 C.1 grants the Salt Lake City Council authority to establish landmark sites; and

      WHEREAS, hearings on the petition to designate the property located at 720 East Ashton Avenue have been held before the Historic Landmark Commission and the Planning Commission, both of which recommended the petition be approved;

      NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:

      SECTION 1.  That the Salt Lake City Register of Cultural Resources be, and the same hereby is, amended to include the property located at 720 East Ashton Avenue, more particularly described on Exhibit “A” attached hereto, as a landmark site, pursuant to Petition No. 400-98-78.

      SECTION 2.  Effective Date.  This ordinance shall become effective on the date of its first publication.

    Passed by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, this 13th day of April, 1999.
