The City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, met in Regular Session on Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. in Room 315, City Council Chambers, City County Building, 451 South State.
The following Council Members were present:

#3. 7:05:20 PM Recognize Ms. Kris Vehrs, the Executive Director of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, and consider adopting a joint ceremonial resolution with the Mayor honoring the Hogle Zoo and Tracy Aviary for receiving national accreditation by the Zoos and Aquariums (AZA).
Councilmember Love read the resolution and Councilmember Christensen and David Everitt presented the resolution to the Aviary and the Zoo. View Attachments

Councilmember Christensen asked Mr. Everitt for an up-date on the Leonardo. Mr. Everitt said the Leonardo held a reception and announced they were planning to open on April 15, 2010 which was also Leonardo Divinci’s birthday. He said Dr. Mario Capeechi had agreed to become the Leonardo’s senior advisor.

RE: Setting the date of Thursday, November 5, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. to accept public comment and consider adopting an ordinance amending the land use designation of the Northwest Community Master Plan Future Land Use Map for property located at approximately 356-358 North Redwood Road from Parks/Open Space to Medium Density Residential: Juston Purchar, Crestview Holdings.
