THE CITY COUNCIL OF SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, MET IN REGULAR SESSION ON THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 5, 1987, AT 6:30 P.M. IN THE CITY COUNCIL OFFICE, SUITE 300, CITY HALL, 324 SOUTH STATE.
THE FOLLOWING COUNCIL MEMBERS WERE PRESENT: FLORENCE BITTNER ROSELYN N. KIRK EARL F. HARDWICK WILLIE STOLER THOMAS M. GODFREY.
Councilmembers Mabey and Fonnesbeck were absent. Mayor Palmer DePaulis, Roger Cutler, city attorney, Kathryn Marshall, city recorder, and Lynda Domino, chief deputy city recorder, were absent.
Council Chairperson Kirk presided at and conducted the meeting.
DEPARTMENTAL BUSINESS
PUBLIC WORKS
#1. RE: An ordinance amending Section 46-8-157 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to exceptions in charging parking meter fees under certain conditions.
ACTION: Councilmember Godfrey moved and Councilmember Bittner seconded to approve the ordinance in concept with the following: Since this was noticed incorrectly on the agenda, instruct the staff to correct the error; in Section A after the word “events” add “not to exceed 10 days per calendar year”; give the Council prior notification when any of these days would take affect; direct the staff to put this on the consent agenda for Tuesday, November 10, 1987, which motion carried, all members present voted aye.
