THE CITY COUNCIL OF SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, MET IN REGULAR SESSION ON THURSDAY, JULY 3, 1986, AT 5:00 P.M. IN ROOM 211 CITY AND COUNTY BUILDING.
THE FOLLOWING COUNCIL MEMBERS WERE PRESENT: FLORENCE BITTNER THOMAS M. GODFREY GRANT MABEY ROSELYN N. KIRK EARL F. HARDWICK WILLIE STOLER.
Councilmember Fonnesbeck was absent.
Mayor Palmer DePaulis, Roger Cutler, city attorney, Kathryn Marshall, city recorder, and Lynda Domino, chief deputy recorder, were absent.
Council Chairperson Hardwick presided at and conducted the meeting.

CITY ATTORNEY
#1. RE: An ordinance relating to parking.
ACTION: Councilmember Kirk moved and Councilmember Bittner seconded to suspend the rules and on first reading adopt Ordinance 56 of 1986 repealing and re-enacting Sections 28-3-154 through 28-3-171 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, amending Section 46-26-314 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, and enacting Sections 46-26-316 through 46-26-319 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to parking, providing for the renumbering of certain sections, providing a time frame regarding nuisances and for the impoundment of vehicles and procedures relating thereto, which motion carried, all members present voting aye.
