Please note:        Beginning in September, the Council will begin the Formal Meetings at 7:00 p.m., which includes Public Hearings, New Business, Unfinished Business and Consent items.  The Work Session will be held from 5:30 – 6:55 p.m.

 

5:00 p.m., some Council Members may dine together in Room 125 at the City & County Building.  (The room is open to the public.)

 

A.  WORK SESSION: 5:30 p.m., Room 326, City & County Building, 451 South State Street

      (Items from the following list that Council is unable to complete in Work Session from 5:30-6:55 p.m. will be addressed in a Work Session setting following the Consent Agenda.)

           

1.  Report of the Executive Director, including review of Council information items and announcements. 

2.  The Council will interview Jennifer Seelig prior to consideration of her appointment to the Planning Commission.

3.  The Council will interview Shelley Larsen-Mahina prior to consideration of her appointment to the Community Development Advisory Committee.

4.  The Council will receive a briefing regarding outdoor barrier requirements for private clubs.

5.  The Council will receive a briefing regarding amending the zoning ordinance regarding residential flag lots standards and planned development standards.

6.  The Council will receive a follow-up briefing regarding Budget Amendment No. 9.

7.  The Council will receive a briefing from the Administration regarding an overview of the City’s housing programs.

 

B.  OPENING CEREMONY:

2.     The Council will approve the September 10, 2002 minutes.

1.     Ordinance: Budget Amendment No. 9

Accept public comment and consider adopting an ordinance amending Salt Lake City Ordinance No. 32 of 2001 which approved, ratified and finalized the Biennial Budget of Salt Lake City, Utah, including the Employment Staffing Document, for the Fiscal Years beginning July 1, 2001 and ending June 30, 2002 and beginning July 1, 2002 and ending June 30, 2003.

2.                           Resolution: Municipal Building Authority Budget Amendment No. 4

Accept public comment and consider adopting a resolution amending Salt Lake City Resolution No. 37 of 2001 which adopted the Biennial Budget of the Municipal Building Authority of Salt Lake City, Utah, for the Fiscal Years beginning July 1, 2001 and ending June 30, 2002 and beginning July 1, 2002 and ending June 30, 2003.

Accept public comment and consider adopting an ordinance amending Section 8.04.500, Salt Lake City Code, pertaining to violation – penalty; amending Section 8.04.510, Salt Lake City Code, pertaining to issuance of citations – notice of violations; and amending Appendix A to Chapter 8.04, Salt Lake City Code, regarding Salt Lake City Animal Services permits and fees.

4.   Resolution: Authorize the approval of an Interlocal cooperation agreement between Salt Lake City Corporation and Utah Department of Transportation to construct a pedestrian safety project consisting of installing pedestrian access ADA ramps and replacing defective sidewalk on 700 East between 900 South and 1700 South
