1.  The Council will interview Mark Smedley prior to consideration of a re-appointment to the Transportation Advisory Board.  (Estimated time:  5 minutes)

2.  The Council will interview Noreen Heid prior to consideration of an appointment to the Historic Landmark Commission.  (Estimated time:  5 minutes)

3.  The Council will interview Orvill Paller prior to consideration of an appointment to the Capital Improvement Program Board.  (Estimated time:  5 minutes)

4.  The Council will have a briefing regarding the Airport Five Year Plan.  (Estimated time:  5 minutes)

5.  The Council will have a follow up discussion regarding the Grants associated with Budget Amendment No. 2.  (Estimated time: 5 minutes)

6.  The Council will receive a briefing from Mitt Romney at approximately 6:15, regarding an Olympic planning update.  (Estimated time: 15 minutes)

7.  The Council will receive a briefing regarding Petition No. 400-01-24, a request from the Salt Lake City Planning Commission to review blade signage.  (Estimated time: 10 minutes)

8.  The Council will receive a briefing regarding Petition No. 400-01-02, a request by Matrix Power to consider amending two chapters of the Salt Lake City Zoning Ordinance.   (Estimated time:  5 minutes)

9.  The Council will receive a briefing regarding Petition No. 400-01-31, a request by “The Island Connection” to consider changing the zoning of property located at 680 South 900 West.   (Estimated time:  5 minutes)

10. The Council will receive a briefing from the Administration regarding the Olympic Ring proposal.  (Estimated time:  10 minutes)

11. (Tentative) The Council will receive a briefing on the emergency shelter for the homeless, including process, budget and location issues. (Estimated time: 15 minutes)

12. The Council will discuss the processing requirements to authorize temporary uses related to large-scale special events of national or international significance. (Expedited Olympic Proposals.)  (Estimated time:  10 minutes)

1.  Resolution: Interlocal Agreement relating to the use by the Utah Science Center Authority of Space at the Salt Lake City Library Building as a site for its operations

Consider adopting a resolution that authorizes the approval of an Interlocal Agreement between Salt Lake City Corporation and the Utah Science Center Authority.

G.  CONSENT:

 

1.  Ordinance: Set date – Amend Chapter 21A.42 of the Salt Lake City Code, authorizing the construction of temporary parking lots, in zones where such parking lots are not presently allowed, for the purpose of replacing parking which has been displaced due to large-scale special events of national or international significance or due to the construction of mass transit facilities

      Set date of October 9, 2001 at 6:00 p.m. to accept public comment and consider adopting an ordinance amending Chapter 21A.42 of the Salt Lake City Code authorizing the construction of temporary parking lots, in zones where such parking lots are not presently allowed, for the purpose of replacing parking which has been displaced due to large-scale special events of national or international significance or due to the construction of mass transit facilities.

2.  Ordinance: Confirm date – Amend Chapter 3.52.050 of the Salt Lake City Code, authorizing one over-sized temporary sign related to large-scale special events of national or international significance

Confirm date of October 16, 2001 at 6:00 p.m. to accept public comment and consider adopting an ordinance amending Chapter 3.52.050 of the Salt Lake City Code, authorizing one over-sized temporary sign related to large-scale special events of national or international significance.
