1.    Fiscal Year 1988/89 – Budget Amendment.

Set a date for a public hearing for Tuesday, December 13, 1988 at 6:20 p.m. to obtain public comment concerning proposed amendments to the Fiscal Year 1988/89 budgets.

2.    Grant Application – Secretary’s Discretionary Fund.

Consider adopting a resolution authorizing the execution of an Application for a Cooperative Agreement between Salt Lake City Corporation and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for a Secretary’s Discretionary Fund Grant (Special Projects Program) under Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended.

3.    Interlocal Cooperation Agreement Amendment – Murray City Fire Dispatch.

Consider adopting a resolution authorizing the execution of an Interlocal Cooperation Agreement between Salt Lake City Corporation and Murray City amending the previously executed agreement for providing fire and rescue dispatch services.

4.    Interlocal Cooperation Agreement Amendment – West Valley City Fire Dispatch

Consider adopting a resolution authorizing the execution of an Interlocal Cooperation Agreement between Salt Lake City Corporation and West Valley City amending the previously executed agreement for providing fire and rescue dispatch services.

5.    West Temple Gateway - Mixed Use Transitional Overlay District.

Set a date for a public hearing to be held Tuesday, December 13, 1988 at 5:30 p.m. to obtain public comment concerning applying the Mixed Use Transitional Overlay District (“MU-T”) over the existing Residential “R-6” District within the West Temple Gateway Redevelopment Project Area. The Residential “R-6” is generally located between 800 South and 900 South and between West Temple and 300 West Streets.

6.    Urban Forestry Board - Reappointment.

Consider approving the reappointment of Jennifer Harrington to the Urban Forestry Board.

Consider approving the appointment of Jan Graham to the Central Business Improvement District Advisory Board.

8.    Canterbury Apartments.

Consider adopting a resolution authorizing the Mayor to sign the offer to purchase the Canterbury Apartments from the Federal National Mortgage Insurance Association for $1,600,000; and that the amount of $10,000 be transferred from the properties acquisition fund to secure the purchase.

E.          NEW COUNCIL BUSINESS:

 

1.    Petition No. 400-618 - Pioneer Road.

Consider adopting an ordinance closing an approximately .0732 acre triangular portion of Old Pioneer Road, at approximately 1320 South pursuant to Petition No. 400-618.

G.          PUBLIC HEARINGS:

 

1.    Petition No. 400-303 – Clissold Investment Company, Inc. - 6:20 p.m.

Obtain public comment concerning a proposed amendment to the Dunford’s subdivision plat covering lots 1 through 6 and 17 through 22 located in the Avenues neighborhood near the Ensign School on the south side of 12th Avenue between “K” and “L” Streets. The petitioner is requesting the amendment to improve the marketability of the lots by improving the views and easing construction constraints; and consider adopting the resolution relating thereto.

2.    Urban Forestry Ordinance - 6:30 p.m.

Obtain public comment and consider adopting an ordinance amending Chapter 2.26 of the Salt Lake City Code to be entitled “Salt Lake City Urban Forestry Ordinance.”

                        Staff Recommendation:   Close hearing and adopt.

 

3.    Petition No. 400-647, R/UDAT Committee – C-4 Surface parking. - 6:40 p.m.

Obtain public comment concerning Petition No. 400-647 submitted by John Pingree for the R/UDAT Steering Committee, requesting Salt Lake City to change the C-4 zoning ordinance to make surface parking a conditional use; and consider adopting ordinance relating thereto.

4.    Petition No. 400-648, R/UDAT Committee – Demolition Permits. - 6:50 p.m.

Obtain public comment concerning Petition No. 400-648 submitted by John Pingree for the R/UDAT Steering Committee, requesting Salt Lake City to require approved drawings for new construction before demolition permits are issued; and consider adopting ordinance relating thereto.
