D.          CONSENT:

 

1.    Urban Development Action Grant, Block 57.

Set dates for public hearings to be held Tuesday, March 18, 1986 in Room 301 of the City and County Building at 6:25 p.m. and Tuesday, March 25, 1986 in the Auditorium of Glendale Intermediate School at 1430 Andrew Avenue at 6:45 p.m. to obtain public comment concerning the proposed application by Salt Lake City for an Urban Development Action Grant (U.D.A.G.) in the amount of $9 million to be used to construct a parking facility and central heating and cooling facility in conjunction with the Williams Realty Company’s redevelopment of Block 57.

                        Staff Recommendation:         Set date.

 

E.          NEW COUNCIL BUSINESS:

 

1.    Special Lighting District 1, Create District.

Consider and adopt a resolution creating Salt Lake City Lighting District No. 1, and authorizing the operation, maintenance, patrolling and powering of improvements as set forth in the Notice of Intention and to create the Special Improvement District.

                        Staff Recommendation:         Adopt.

 

2.    Special Lighting District 1, Board of Equalization.

Consider and adopt a resolution appointing the Board of Equalization for Special Improvement District, Special Lighting District 1; and setting dates for the Board of Equalization on Monday, March 31, 1986 between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.; and Tuesday and Wednesday, April 1 and 2, 1986, between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.

                        Staff Recommendation:         Adopt.

 

At 4:00 p.m. and at 5:30 p.m. or immediately following the Council meeting the Salt Lake City Council will meet as the Committee of the Whole:

 

4:00 The City Council will tour the areas included in the Highland and Forest Dale/Fairmont portions of the Sugar House (#400-277) rezoning petition.

 

5:30:  Max Peterson, City Engineer, will brief the Council on the proposed amendments to the concrete replacement ordinance.
