1.     Report of the Executive Director, including review of Council information items and announcements.  (Estimated time:  5 minutes)

2.     The Council will receive a briefing regarding the Mayor's Recommended Budget for the Metropolitan Water District for fiscal year 2001-2002.  (Estimated time:  5 minutes) (Resolution from MWD and Sandy No. 1730 adopting its FY 2002 budget and setting its tax rate for 2001.)

3.     The Council will receive a briefing regarding a proposed ordinance amending the Salt Lake City Housing Code to provide for civil enforcement of housing code violations.  (Estimated time:  5 minutes)

4.     The Council will receive a briefing regarding the status of the Intermodal Hub.  (Estimated time:  5 minutes)

5.     The Council will receive a briefing regarding Budget Amendment Number 9 for Fiscal Year 2000/2001.  (Estimated time:  5 minutes)

6.     The Council will receive a briefing regarding Municipal Building Authority Budget Amendment Number 3 for Fiscal Year 2000/2001.

7.     The Council will receive a briefing regarding the traffic management program.  (Estimated time:  5 minutes)

8.     The Council will receive a briefing regarding Petition No. 400-01-01, the large-scale special events ordinance.  (Estimated time:  15 minutes)

9.     The Council will receive a briefing regarding the Mayor's Recommended Budget for the Attorney's Office General Fund for fiscal year 2001-2002 and 2002-2003, including the five-year plan.  (Estimated time:  20 minutes)

10.   The Council will receive a briefing regarding the Mayor's Recommended Budget for Information Management Services for fiscal year 2001-2002 and 2002-2003.  (Estimated time:  5 minutes)

11.   The Council will receive a briefing regarding the Mayor's Recommended Budget for Internal Audit for fiscal year 2001-2002 and 2002-2003.  (Estimated time:  5 minutes)

1.   Ordinance:  Petition No. 400-99-35 Creating a Sign Overlay District for the Delta Center and Amending the Salt Lake City Zoning Ordinance to allow Localized Alternative Sign Overlay Districts within Downtown Zoning Districts
Accept public comment and consider adopting an ordinance creating a Sign Overlay District for the Delta Center and amending the Salt Lake City Zoning Ordinance to allow Localized Alternative Sign Overlay Districts within the Downtown Zoning Districts.

F.  UNFINISHED BUSINESS:

1.       Ordinance:  Amending park and playground rules for camping
Consider adopting an ordinance amending Section 15.08.080, Salt Lake City Code relating to park and playground rules for camping.

          Staff Recommendation:                 Adopt.

2.       Resolution:  Notice of Intention for East Liberty Park Concrete Replacement Special Improvement District No. 101016, bounded by 900 East, 900 South, 1300 South and 1100 East

Consider adopting a motion declaring the intention of the City Council of Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, State of Utah, to construct improvements on certain streets in said city including the replacement of all, or portions of deteriorated driveway approaches, curb, gutter and sidewalks; the installation of sod, topsoil, sidewalk ramps; the removal of illegal driveways; and the installation of new curb, gutter and sidewalk street improvements where none now exist; and all other miscellaneous work necessary to complete the improvements; to create Salt Lake City, Utah Special Improvement District No. 101016; to defray the cost and expenses of a portion of said improvement district by special assessments to be levied against the property benefited by such improvements; to provide notice of intention to authorize such improvements and to fix a time and place for protests against such improvements; or the creation of said district; and to authorize advertisement of construction bids and related matters.

3.       Resolution:  Declare intention to issue industrial revenue bonds and set date for public hearing
Consider adopting a resolution declaring the intention of the City Council of Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, State of Utah, to issue revenue bonds to finance a portion of the cost of acquisition, construction and improvement of a school campus for Rowland Hall-St. Mark's School; authorizing the issuance and sale of approximately $19,500,000 aggregate principal amount of its variable rate revenue bonds, series 2001A (Rowland Hall-St. Mark's School project); establishing conditions which must be met at or prior to the time of the issuance of the revenue bonds; providing for the reimbursement from the proceeds of such revenue bonds of expenditures for the Rowland Hall-St. Mark's School project;  setting the date of July 5, 2001 at 6:00 p.m. to accept public comment, and publish a notice of the public hearing; and related matters.

1.  Motion:  Amendment to Financial Audit contract with PricewaterhouseCoopers

Consider adopting a motion authorizing the Council Chair to sign an amendment to the contract with PricewaterhouseCoopers to conduct a financial audit of the City for the year ended June 30, 2001.

2.   Resolution:  Interlocal Cooperation Agreement between Salt Lake City Corporation and Salt Lake County for Municipal Election Services
Consider adopting a resolution authorizing the approval of an interlocal cooperation agreement between Salt Lake City Corporation and Salt Lake County for Municipal Election Services.
