1.    Petition No. 400-364, Housing Authority of Salt Lake City.

Set a date for a non-advertised public hearing to be held Tuesday, February 4, 1986 at 6:30 p.m. to discuss Petition No. 400-364 submitted by the Housing Authority of Salt Lake City, requesting that the alley located in the block surrounded by Hayes Avenue, American Avenue, Glendale Street, and 11th West Street be vacated.

2.    Petition No. 400-365, Housing Authority of Salt Lake City.

Set a date for a non-advertised public hearing to be held Tuesday, February 4, 1986 at 6:35 p.m. to discuss Petition No. 400-365 submitted by the Housing Authority of Salt Lake City requesting that the alley located in the block surrounded by Hayes Avenue, American Avenue, Glendale Street and Emery Street be vacated.

3.    Petition No. 400-277-(Highland Drive Neighborhood), Sugar House Community Council.

Set a date for a public hearing to be held Tuesday, February 18, 1986 at 6:30 p.m. to discuss Petition No. 400-277-(Highland Drive Neighborhood) submitted by the Sugar House Community Council. The area is located south of Interstate-8O to 2700 South along both sides of Highland Drive and along 2700 South between 1100 East and Highland Drive and is the last neighborhood to be studied. They are requesting the rezoning of all existing Residential “R-4” to “R-2”, all of the existing “R-6” to “R-5”, some existing “B-3” to Residential “R-5” and “R-2” some existing Residential “R-5” to “R-2” and the existing Commercial “C-2” to Residential “R-5”.

4.    Petition No. 400-277-(Forest Dale & Fairmont Neighborhoods), Sugar House Community Council.

Set a date for a public hearing to be held Tuesday, February 18, 1986 at 6:45 p.m. to discuss Petition No. 400-277-(Forest Dale and Fairmont Neighborhoods), submitted by the Sugar House Community Council. The area to be discussed is the Forest Dale and Fairmont neighborhoods which are located generally south of 2100 South to 2700 South Streets and between 500 East and 1100 East Streets petitioners are requesting the City to rezone all of the existing Residential “R-4” to “R-2” and “R-3A”, much of the existing Residential “R-6 to “R-5” and “R-2”, some existing “Business “B-3” to “R-2”, and some existing Commercial “C-3” to “C-l” and Residential “R-5”.

5.    Petition No. 400-381, S. Whitfield Lee.

Set a date for a public hearing on Tuesday, February 18, 1986 at 7:00 p.m. to discuss Petition No. 400-381 submitted by S. Whitfield Lee requesting Salt Lake City to rezone property located on the north side of 1300 South between Foothill Boulevard and Wasatch Drive from Residential “R-2” to a Residential “R-l” classification.

6.    Petition No. 400-275 of 1985, Berkeley Industrial Park.

Consider and adopt an ordinance closing two easements located in Berkeley Industrial Park Subdivision in Salt Lake City, Utah, pursuant to Petition No. 400-275 of 1985 requiring certain conditions.

7.    Interlocal Cooperation Agreement, Salt Lake County.

Consider and adopt a resolution authorizing the execution of an Interlocal Cooperation Agreement between Salt Lake City Corporation and Salt Lake County to exchange property and other compensation to enable the County to acquire the necessary land to expand the County jail.

E.          NEW COUNCIL BUSINESS:

 

1.    Joint Resolution, I-15/State Street Traffic Corridor.

Consider and adopt a joint resolution of the Mayor of Salt Lake City and the Salt Lake City Council in support of light-rail transit system along the Interstate I-15/State Street corridor.

2.    Reclassification, Office Manager-Treasurer’s Office.

Review the reclassification of the Office Manager-Treasurer’s Office from pay class 308 to pay class 311.

                        Staff Recommendation:         Review.

 

3.    Salt Lake City Arts Council Appointments and Reappointments.

Consider and approve the reappointment of Charles Brown, Craig Carter, Sherine Stephens, Ken Burton, Lake Churchill and Audrey Oestreicher and the appointment of Dolly Plumb, Myron Richardson, Doug Wildfoerster, and Mary Behrens to the Salt Lake City Arts Council.

4.    Nuclear Test Ban Resolution.

Consider and adopt a resolution supporting the cessation of all nuclear testing and the resumption of a Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty among all nations.

                                                        on first reading.

 

F.          UNFINISHED COUNCIL BUSINESS:

 

1.    Special Improvement District 3.

Consider and adopt a resolution adopting the recommendations of the Board of Equalization held January 13, 14, and 15 1986 to consider protests for assessments for Special Lighting District 3.

G.          PUBLIC HEARINGS:

 

1.    The Public Hearing scheduled for January 21, 1986 at 6:30 p.m. concerning the West Valley City Boundary Adjustment has been cancelled and the petition withdrawn by the petitioner.
