Tanner, Inc. is requesting for vacation in petition no. 400-474 located between 1956 and 1968 South Main Street, and the alley located at approximately Richards Street and 2100 South street.

2.    Interlocal Cooperation Agreement, Salt Lake County-Sewer Facilities.

Consider adopting a resolution authorizing the execution of an Interlocal Cooperation Agreement between Salt Lake City and Utah Department of Transportation, street maintenance division, which would allow for relocation of the City’s sewer facilities at 1000 North Redwood road at UDOT’s expense.

9.    Petition No. 400-367, Terry Becker, et al.

Set a date for a public hearing to be held Tuesday, February 17, 1987, at 6:45 p.m. to obtain public comment concerning Petition No. 400-367 submitted by Terry Becker, et al. requesting the City place the “F-1” Overlay Zone over the Arlington Hills neighborhood lying north of the intersection of 11th Avenue and Virginia Street up to the present “P-1” Foothill Preservation Zone, change the text of the “F-1” Overlay Zone requirements by adding provisions requiring the building side yards to maintain a minimum width of 20 feet each side for a total of 40 feet; changing the required rear yard to 40 feet; and providing a restriction that a maximum of 50 percent of the total lot area be al1oed to be covered by buildings or hard surfacing, change the text of the Site Development Ordinance, Chapter 3 by changing: Section 47-3- 2-1(a) to require a buildable area on each proposed lot which would measure 50 feet deep by 65 feet wide instead of the current requirement for a buildable area measuring 30 feet deep by 40 feet side; change the minimum lot side criteria as contained in Section 47-3-2-1 by explicitly empowering the Planning Commission to substantially increase the lot area and lot width requirements above the minimums established by the zoning district or overlay district, when new lots are created in or adjacent to established neighborhoods.

Consider adopting an ordinance extending the expiration date of Bill No. 4 of 1986, relating to the closure of public alleys and an easement located in block 179, Plat “D” and Blocks 179 through 186, Plat “D”, for six months beyond the original expiration date of January 14, 1987.

F.          UNFINISHED BUSINESS:

 

1.    Special Improvement District No. 38-685, Assessment Ordinance.

Consider adopting an ordinance confirming the equalized assessment rolls and levying a tax in the aggregate amount of $244,058.59 providing for the assessment of property in Salt Lake City, Utah Curb and Gutter Extension No. 38-685, 1700 South West Temple - 700 West, for the purpose of paying the costs of roadway improvements, the construction of curb and gutter, draining facilities and all other miscellaneous work, necessary to complete the improvements in a proper and workmanlike manner; reaffirming the establishment of a special improvement guaranty fund; and establishing the effective date of this ordinance.

2.    Special Improvement District No. 40-R-7, Assessment Ordinance.

Consider adopting an ordinance confirming the equalized assessment rolls and levying a tax in the aggregate amount of approximately $237,712, providing for the assessment of property in Salt Lake City, Concrete Replacement Special Improvement district No. 40-R-7, Downtown and Sherwood Drive, for the purpose of paying the costs of the removal and reconstruction of deteriorated curb, gutter, sidewalk, and driveways and recessed parking areas, construction of minor drainage facilities and wheel chair ramps, where needed, removal of illegal driveways and replacement in the place thereof of topsoil and sod, removal of deteriorated asphalt drives and replacement with concrete in a proper and workmanlike manner; reaffirming the establishment of a Special Improvement Guaranty Fund; and establishing the effective date of this ordinance.

Consider adopting a resolution to create Salt Lake City, Utah California Avenue Curb and Gutter Extension No. 38-724, and to authorize construction of improvements.

4.    Special Improvement District No. 38-819, Notice of Intention.

Consider adopting a resolution declaring the intention of the City Council of Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, State of Utah, to construct improvements on certain streets within said municipality consisting of the reconstruction of various streets; installation of new pavements, curb and gutter, sidewalks, driveway approaches, street trees, sod and topsoil; installation of major storm drains and a pump station and all other miscellaneous work necessary to complete the improvement in a proper workmanlike manner; to create Salt Lake City, Utah 1988/89 non-contiguous streets, Curb and Gutter Extension No. 38-819; to defray the cost and expenses of said improvement district by Special Assessments to be levied against the property benefited by such improvements; and to provide Notice of Intention to authorize such improvements and to fix a time and place for protests against such improvements or the creation of said district; and to authorize advertisement of construction bids.

5.    Special Improvement District No. 38-757, Notice of Intention.

Consider adopting a resolution declaring the intention of the city Council of Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, State of Utah, to construct improvements on certain streets within said municipality consisting of the construction of a five-lane roadway, the installation of curb and gutter, sidewalks, storm drainage, driveway approaches, street trees, sod and topsoil and all other miscellaneous rk necessary to complete the improvements in a proper workmanlike manner; to create Salt Lake City, 900 West Curb and Gutter Extension No. 38-757; to defray the cost and expenses of said improvement district by Special Assessments to be levied against the property benefited by such improvements; and to provide Notice of Intention to authorize such improvements and to fix a time and place for protests against such improvements or the creation of said district; and to authorize advertisement of construction bids.

6.    Petition No. 400-366, Capitol Hill Community Council.

Consider adopting a motion to rezone areas included in Petition No. 400-366, areas A, B, C, D, E, F, and G submitted by the Capitol Hill Community Council requesting the City rezone property located within the Capitol Hill Community:  Area A: The Petitioner is requesting that the area be rezoned from M-1a to R-5a, the Planning Commission recommends retention of the M-1a classification.  Area B: The Petitioner is requesting that the area be rezoned from an R-5a to an R-2 classification.  Area C: The Petitioner is requesting that the area between Beck Street and Victory Road be rezoned from C-3 and M-1 to R-2, the Planning Commission recommends the area be rezoned to C-1.  Area D: The Petitioner is requesting that all property with frontage along the western side of Beck Street (300 West) right-of-way from 1150 North to 900 North Streets be rezoned from C-3 to R-2, the Planning Commission recommends rezoning the area to C-1.  Area E: The Planning Commission recommends that the area located east of Victory Road be rezoned from M-1 and R-6 to R-5. The area is within the Foothill Overlay zone.  Area F: The Petitioner is requesting that the area be rezoned from R-5 to R-5a, R-4, and R-2, the Planning Commission recommends the area be rezoned to R-5a.  Area G: The Petitioner is requesting that the area be rezoned from C-3 to R-2, the Planning Commission recommends the area retain its C-3 classification.
