A.  WORK SESSION: 5:30 p.m., Room 326, City & County Building, 451 South State Street 

(Items from the following list that Council is unable to complete in Work Session from 5:30-6:55 p.m. will be addressed in a Work Session setting following the Consent Agenda.)

1.     The Council will receive a report from the Citizen’s Compensation Advisory Committee.

2.     The Council will receive a briefing regarding Deloitte & Touche’s audit of the City’s Financial Statements and Management Letter issued to the City for the year ended June 30, 2004.

3.     The Council will receive a briefing regarding Budget Amendment No. 5, including revenue projections for the Fiscal Year 2004-05, and a discussion of Housing and Urban Development, (HUD) Section 8 Funding.

4.     The Council will receive a report from the Council Housing Subcommittee on the Housing Policy.

5.     (TENTATIVE) The Council will hold a discussion regarding upcoming Legislative issues.

6.     Report of the Executive Director, including a review of Council information items and announcements.

 

B.   OPENING CEREMONY:

1.  Pledge of Allegiance.

2.  The Council will approve the minutes of February 1, February 3 and February 8, 2005.

 

C.  PUBLIC HEARINGS

1.  Ordinance – Amend the Salt Lake City Zoning Code to remove the sunset provision regarding portable signs Petition No. 400-04-47 

Accept public comment and consider adopting an ordinance amending the Salt Lake City Zoning Code to remove the sunset provision regarding portable signs. (A-Frame signs)

                        Staff Recommendation:        Close and adopt.

 

2.   Ordinance – Rezone properties located at 1003 and 1005 West Euclid Avenue from Community Business (CB) to moderate density Multi-family Residential (RMF-35) Petition No. 400-04-30, and amend the West Salt Lake Community Master Plan

Accept public comment and consider adopting an ordinance rezoning properties located at 1003 and 1005 West Euclid Avenue from Community Business (CB) to moderate density Multi-family Residential (RMF-35), and to amend the West Salt Lake Community Master Plan (adopted 1995) to reflect the proposed residential zoning. (NHS)

3.   Ordinance – Amend the zoning for property located at approximately 635 North F Street, (former Veteran’s Administration Hospital) and amend the Avenues Community Master Plan, Petition No. 400-04-38

Accept public comment and consider adopting an ordinance amending the zoning for property located at approximately 635 North F Street, (former Veteran’s Administration Hospital) and amend the Avenues Community Master Plan.

1.  Motion – District Three Neighborhood Olympic Legacy project:

Consider adopting a motion expressing the Council’s approval of the proposed Neighborhood Olympic Legacy project for City Council District Three.

G. CONSENT:

1.  Ordinance – Set date – Rezone properties located at 1385 South 900 West from Institutional (I) to Public Lands (PL), 1325 South 800 West, 1327 South 800 West, 747 West 1300 South, and 739 West 1300 South from Single Family Residential (R-1-7000) to Public Lands (PL) and amend the West Salt Lake Community Master Plan, pursuant to Petition No. 400-04-42

Set the date of March 8, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. to accept public comment and consider adopting an ordinance rezoning properties located at 1385 South 900 West from Institutional (I) to Public Lands (PL), 1325 South 800 West, 1327 South 800 West, 747 West 1300 South, and 739 West 1300 South from Single Family Residential (R-1-7000) to Public Lands (PL) and amending the West Salt Lake Community Master Plan.  (Unity Center)

2.  Resolution – Set date – Accept the study performed in compliance with Utah Code Section 10-8-2 and authorize a one-time $30,000.00 contribution to the Housing Authority of Salt Lake City to mitigate recent federal funding cuts

Set the date of March 8, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. to accept public comment and consider adopting a resolution accepting the study performed in compliance with Utah Code section 10-8-2 and authorizing one-time $30,000.00 contribution to the Housing Authority of Salt Lake City to mitigate recent federal funding cuts.
